Autumnal Eye

There comes a time once a year
Where the sky stays gray
And the color red no longer has to fear
Whilst the wind comes out to play

The smell of apple and pumpkin fill the streets
While hay rides entertain the young ones
It really makes my heart skip a beat
This is the time where I have the most fun

Heading down the path leaves swirl around
The fashion of now is all coats
Though snow is nowhere to be found
And the breeze seems to make things float

Family meetings grow ever so common
Gathered around the house with smiles
Its all that I expect from autumn
Along with those who traveled for miles

I love to lay on the ground
And hear the crunch of the leaves
The wind blows my hair around
All that is forgotton, are my current pet peeves

When the end starts to near
And the cold looms in the distance
My eyes begin to tear
I want to stay in Fall's existence

The dead leaves are still below me
"I will wait for you" I say with a sigh
They're something I am happy to see
In the middle of the storm, I anticipate my autumnal eye.

Favorite thing about fall/autumn: Looking up, the small creature seemed to sigh with the wind. One paw was raised, both ears cocked. He was waiting for something. The creature looked down at the rustling of the leaves, the leaves that would soar in the sky, the peacefully flutter back to the ground before taking off again. Suddenly, the thing looked up with a start. He leaped up onto a nearby tree, whose leaves were gold and red. The creature stared at the horizon, just above the sandy rolling hills. It waited. A grin broke out on his face, as he felt it; The warmth of a ball of red, orange, and pink that was just reaching its long fingers to graze the tips of the hills. The warmth started in the tip of his nose, then traveled down his body, sending tingles through the tip of his tail. The orange rabbit showed a small hint of a smile on the corner of his lips as in his mind he painted the most beautiful sunrise imaginable. Even if he couldn't see the sunrise, he knew that it transformed fall into more than just a season. It was something to love.
Marko loves autumn, even without its colors. He loves the cool air that gives you a well-deserved break from the heat of summer. He loves hearing the leaves crunch beneath your feet. He loves being able to see the sunrise over those golden hills. He loves seeing the intricate veins of beautiful leaves. But again, nothing could top the colors of fall. he loves the golden hills, the collage of red and gold that frames them. He loves seeing the pine trees in a sharp, contrasting green. He loves seeing the huge piles of crinkly, brittle leaves on the ground. Those are the colors of fall, the ones that he loves just so.

Extra(s): Though Marko has never seen a sunrise in fall, he believes it is the most beautiful thing imaginable. And to him, it is. For a sunrise in fall is the most wonderful thing. It is a small comfort in the crisp air of dawn, a plaid, worn down shawl being carefully wrapped around your shoulders. Marko's one dream is to be able to see a sunrise because he hasn't seen one since he was merely a child. For Marko cannot see at all through his left eye, and can barely see through his right eye. He has not once been close enough to see the sunrise in its full glory, though he can most definitely appreciate the beauty of a fallen leaf up close. He sees through the eyes of an artist, though he can barely see at all How would those colors blend, twist, or form into other shapes?~

Marko's father was a painter, his mother a sculptor. He should've been a natural born artist. Is a natural born artist. See, if not for a rare genetic mutation that left him practically blind, he would've been the world's next Picasso. But he isn't. for how could a blind animal match, much less exceed the works of the great masters? That is what Marko has been told all his life, ever since he told his teacher "I want to paint the trees. I want to give them even more color than they already got in 'em."
