pourquoi tu gâches ta vie? wrote:the light is both dim and illuminating, casting a long, dark shadow across every surface. the grass, damp and slightly muddled from the rain the previous night, conforms to your paws easily.
you raise your muzzle to stare down the moon, its bright light making the grass almost shimmer in the soft, white light. you yawn, more out of exhaustion than anything, you rest your head once more and watch crickets bounce around and make that annoying yet endearing clicking sound while you attempt to doze off.
you dream of tinkling laughter, soft nose-bumps and the gentle swing of a tail at your back or ears or forehead. you dream of softness, warmth, comfort, safety. you dream of someone who is not here right now, and you dream of meeting them again even though you know it's impossible. they are far, far away, and you are here, and there is no way they ever knew, nor will know.
and you feel terribly, horribly alone.
