Explanation: Ambyr doesn't have many issues when it comes to not having a tail. Really it's two things: poor balance and difficultly communicating. Tails, no matter their length, help to keep animals balanced as they move about their world. Though Ambyr doesn't often feel the lack of her tail, any games she plays running about with other farm animals - especially when running and frolicking - she tends to fall over at some point (or multiple times). It's not easy not being able to right the body as you're moving quickly after all. For her other consequence of her non-tail state, Ambyr sometimes has difficulty communicating emotion to other animals. Joy, fear, excitement, apprehension - all can be conveyed with other parts of the body. However, since some look similar, tails help to differentiate the specifics of an emotion. This has led to many a mix up on how she is actually feeling and confusion tends to ensue until things can be worked out.
Other than these two results of her tailless state, Ambyr feels and acts pretty normal. She's healthy and seems content with her life. Good thing the geneticists didn't tamper with too many traits at once, or she may have had some other troubles in her life~

Explanation: It seems that Alora isn't that much affected with the fact that she has no tail. She learned when she was younger how to deal with having no tail. It was actually a good thing for her as she experienced that tails were an easy target for other silkies and dik-diks.

Explanation:

April physically is doing fine with out a tail, her balance can be a bit off at times and she is quiet clumsy but other than that she does well.

The problems lie in her thoughts about being Tailless, she doesn't like being different and although her close friend Midori tells April to embrace her unique appearance she is unable to get the thoughts from her head.

She thinks that people laugh at her and talk behind her back, which although there are a few horrible Dik-Diks out there, is not true.

Midori often finds that April will use her to hide here tail, or lack there of, when meeting new Dik-Diks.

April wasn't always this way however, when she was younger she fully embraced her clumsiness and her lack of tail but after an incident in which she was bullied rather harshly for being different she started to feel less confident in herself and stopped being the happy go lucky girl that everyone knew.

On the occasion where she is just with close friends and she forgets her differences she is a silly, loud and fun girl who everybody loves.
