It's quite a dark tale, one that ventures into a time that most people forget, the dark ages. It was a clear night, for all but one. Hime was a dark kalon, one that was often hated. One night, the one animal that loved him, a bird by the name of Shisui, died. Hime, unwanting to forget the bird, started to wear his skull.

What's the story behind the Skull?;; [200 words max ] they are a desert scavenger, they found the skull one day while searching for usable bits in the sand dunes and used it as a shield from the soon on his head. Now, he keeps it around because it looks cool and keeps other scavengers from bothering him, plus it doesn't hurt that it does a pretty good job blocking out sun.

What's the story behind the Skull?;; Lux's head accessory is a helmet refurbished from a skull. She travels the wasteland, searching far and wide for a safe place to call home. Due to the lack of supplies she has available to her in the desert, she often depends on nature to provide her with tools. When she stumbled upon a thick, sturdy skull that was in pristine condition, Lux immediately tried her best to make into an armor piece. It didn't sit well on her flank, nor was it a good shoulder guard, but it sat perfectly upon her head. She uses the skull to keep the sun and heat off of her face, and it has been able to successfully save her life now and then on occasion if she was to find herself in deadly skirmishes with the mutated animals that wanders the wasteland's plains.

What's the story behind the Skull?;; Her face hidden, Blair felt herself-- or rather she felt more aware of herself, as if she were somehow floating behind herself, watching her body make its every move. The skull masked her, garbed her in more mystery than was really needed-- though it felt appropriate for her position. As a social outcast, one couldn't say it was bizarre. The kalon who lived on the edge of town-- perhaps they figured she used it to scare others away, or perhaps to enforce the local stereotype that she was some variety of sorcerer, or evil witch. Blair touched the surface of the skull, lightly brushing it with a gentle paw-- no, it was nothing so sinister. The skull mask had been, at one time, a simple gift-- a loving gesture, if one could believe it. Her parents had been adventurers in their prime, and her mother had found the exotic skull, bringing it home for her daughter as a memento, which she now viewed as a fraction of her life from brighter times. Now she wears it, hiding behind someone she once was-- a beacon of strength, a reminder of love, the mask makes Blair strong. [ 195 / 200 ]

What's the story behind the Skull?;; Sharmen is a monster hunter. A basilisk hunter, to be specific. It all started many years ago, when he was still a child. He was visiting his aunt for the weekend while his parents were out of town. He loved his aunt dearly, and always enjoyed staying with her. She instructed him not to go outside at night, because a 'large snake with big, big teeth!' was hanging about the wood pile, and she didn't want him bitten. The little rebel, of course, didn't listen, and ran up to the closet and grabbed a broom. When his aunt wasn't looking, he darted outside and confronted the beast. It was a young basilisk, and although it wasn't strong enough to kill him, it could still do damage if it bit him. When his aunt realized he had gone out, she rushed outside and killed the monster with a frying pan. Sharmen begged her to let him examine it's bone structure, and he kept the skull for himself, making a hat out of it to remind himself of his first encounter with his worst enemy. [183/200]

The skull that adorns Nico's head is a gift, when she was younger she used to travel around with her grandfather until he passed but in his will she received a skull. Its not just any skull, it was actually the first thing they collected together and then the satchel she wears. Which was made from the skull's teeth so that it could be worn without hurting her but the teeth wouldn't be wasted.

The skull is to show his strength and power throughout the town that he lives in. He also uses it to hide a few scars along his face from attacks. The owner of the skull was a mortal enemy of his town and he was praised for defeating it. Travis mainly defeated it for the love of a woman, but she remained uninterested in him.
