Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. This little boy was dropped off at the kennel a few days after Sin arrived. The owner didn't explain why he was being dropped off but just told us to take him. Sin was probably the only dog he actually befriended in the kennel, as they met when she was needing a therapy trust walk. We are pretty sure that he helped her escape her kennel from time to time but It was probably our imagination. Anyways, they loved to spend their walks together before she left to a new home. I wonder what their favorite activity together was?

Personality:
Romeo is very brave, but is also quite a trouble maker. He's not scared of much but he has a habit of knocking over literally anything in his path. He's a show-off sometimes and knocks heavier things down to show his strength, but most of the time he'll get in trouble. Romeo loves being fussed over and absolutely loves attention. He wants to be the dog that everyone loves and adores getting treats. He does a lot to get a treat. Do a trick? Sure! He'll do any trick or command. He's intelligent alright! But he's still a trouble maker, so think twice before getting this attention loving bud. But he's still a great dog, and no one can deny it.

Favorite Activity w/ Sin:
Romeo, the show-off he is, loves winning, so why not a game that he could win at? Tug of War! They play with toy rope that looks kinda like this. Romeo loves to play it with Sin and always feels so proud and mighty when he wins, which isn't that often, but once in a while actually. Romeo gets grumpy when he doesn't win but it's actually quite funny to see him whine over a little game, but everyone still feels bad for him. Romeo and Sin have a very close number of times they won, so it's pretty even to both of them, but Romeo prefers to win more.

Personality: A sweet and somewhat wild male, Raphael can also be quite gentle if he is around children. He actually seems oddly to be nervous of cats and rats, so his boy tries to keep him away from them. He seems to also have maybe had a trauma in his past? He gets jumpy and starts yelping when there is thunder, when cars backfire he flattens to the ground, and when someone doesn't let him know he will yelp and jump about a foot into the air and run off. Though, he could just be an anxious and nervous dog.
Favorite Activity w/ Sin:
His favorite activity with Sin was when the volunteers would take them out on walks together. Now, this may seem cliche considering how they probably met, but to him it was the best. He loved to go on those walks, which all started when two volunteers accidentally took them out of their kennels at the same time without first checking and being sure they were okay with each other. They quickly found out the dogs were perfect together, that they never fought, and they loved to walk together, so they started taking them out together whenever possible, around the block and to the little dog bakery (they make cookies, biscuits, bones, and sell collars and items, for dogs) a couple blocks down, and even into the little park style place down there too.

Personality: Houdini is a daredevil. He believes the only limits anyone has are those they set for themselves. He is a bit of a troublemaker, but never with ill intent. He likes a good prank and is a bit of a joker. Being all of that many find it hard to believe that he can be kind of 'prissy'. He doesn't like mud or water. If he gets wet or muddy he will panic and will not be happy until he is clean and dry again. Houdini also has a strange aversion to cats. He is a little proud and likes humans and dogs alike to recognize this. He is an escape artists for sure, earning him his name. Through windows, doors, gates, fences . . . Nothing can keep him in for long. He will chew, jump, push, or climb out of any space. Of course, sometimes he chooses to be good, if he feels he is being treated properly.
Favorite Activity w/ Sin:
He loved their nighttime romps in the woods, each trying to scare the other and annoy the humans just a little in fun. He appreciates that she can enjoy a little mischief with him, such as chasing rabbits or running off on the humans. Now, she is a bit mischievous by nature, but Houdini certainly helped support that side of her and cultivated it during their time at the shelter. Truth be told, he had never had that much freedom, and though she never exactly said, he didn't think she had either.

Personality: Nekomi is a high-spirited, upbeat, courageous dog. Nekomi has been through alot but nothing can take him down. Nekomi is very energetic and has high-hopes. Nekomi one day hopes to be a police dog or an explosive-sniffing dog.
Favorite Activity w/ Sin: Sin and Nekomi always loved to play "get the stick through the door" To explain it, Nekomi and Sin find a large stick and try to fit it through the door. The objective is to find a way to get the stick through the door without breaking it. Yeah the sticks are pretty large and usually weak ones they find lying around which makes the game harder!

If Sin is the one to get in trouble, Hunt is the one to get her to stand down, walk away, or fix the mess she made. He's fairly level- headed and can always tell if the situation is too much for the two of them, no matter what trouble it is. He likes to think that he's the brains and Sin is the brawn, although Sin is quite smart too. Hunt is a loyal dog to his owners, but he's more loyal to Sin than any other living thing in the universe.
