[Unhealthy Obsessions]

Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

This babe, definitely the most fun to make had a good time designing them. Before i continue, No they have no powers with lightening i just thought itd be pretty lol.

As much as id love to make this a long contest i dont have the motivation to read large large quantities. I am going to make this contest based on the characters development. I want to see information about their personality and traits, and definitely award bonus points if quirks are included and are creative/not common. I will choose the winner by what i find to be the most creative or appealing. There will be at lease one Runner Up for this contest. This ends tomorrow morning for me. xxxxxxxxShirt stains, a rude face, and a phone camera is really allxxxxxxxx
you need to understand Raia and his personality. He’s a
pretty simple Kalon with a couple interests- photography.
One of the only things Raia actually likes doing it taking
simple photos of people- anyone. It’s usually people who
walk through the front door to his mansion, as they’re the
most interesting to him.. But he could also do something as
simple as going out for lunch and seeing Kalons mull about
on the street. He doesn’t really have a website that he
posts his pictures on, nor does he make it a job- probably
because it’s just the camera on his android phone.

Well.. more like his three android phones. They break so
easily, he needs another probably a week after he gets
one. This means transferring his SD card from phone to
phone- if only he weren’t such an uncaring Kalon. Raia’s
someone manypeople would define as messy. He almost
always has dirty socks, ripped jeans, and a shirt about
three sizes too large for his frame- the only thing about his
appearance that he cares about is his hair, which is usually
slicked back. Even that, though, is tangled on most days.

Wasn’t it weird to be a millionaire and be so messy? All of
Raia’sfriends seem to think so. Most rich people are really
snobby- but at least they’re proper. Raia was given the worst
personality traits his friends and family could imagine, he’s
very messy, and he’s rude at the same time. But.. it’s not like
he’s intentionally being mean to others, that’s just something
people saw in his nature. Honestly, Raia figures that he’s nice to
other people- not even realizing how rude he can really be. It
usually turns others away- or maybe it’s because he always
expects people to be nice to him in return.

Or maybe people don’t like him because he just
naturally has a face that makes people think he’s mad at them. It’s
not intentional- not at all. Raia doesn’t really want people to be
turned off by his expression when he’s not smiling! Maybe that was
why he usually laughs at unnecessary things- because it’s an excuse
to be smiling rather than looking ambivalent about something. Even
if he normally was.

Well, much like any other Kalon, Raia
does have a couple habitable quirks about
him that few other Kalons do. Everyone’s
got something special- so Raia does too.

➣ A couple of his most annoying quirks
while other people are over would be both
his humming- because he hums almost
all the time while doing work, and standing
up while he eats or drinks anything. Most
people don't take note of that little habit
of his until they’ve been at his house at
least five times, but it’s definitely one of
the most infuriating things for his maid,
who has to clean up the messes he makes
on the floor.

➣ Another thing about Raia that not too
many Kalons notice, is that he’s primarily
left handed. He does just about everything
with his left hand, such as eating, using
his TV remote, cutting things, and browsing
the internet- but he writes on paper with
his right hand. That’s the only thing he does
with his right, write essays and words and
bills and checks and all.

➣ And does anyone ever say anything when
Raia sits down? Of course they do. Because
he sits like a woman, crossing his legs and
all. “Isn’t that uncomfortable?” That’s the
biggest question he’s asked, and Raia’s
finally figured out that they’re referring to
the way he’s sitting, which to him, is actually
very comfortable.

Gender:: Male
Personality:: Despite not looking like the type, Eldin is very talkative and outgoing. You'd probably know him as the kid shouting out the answers in class when the teacher tells people to raise their hands. Or as that one kid talking way too loud with their group of friends. Eldin doesn't mean to annoy people with his very extroverted nature, it just happens. Aside from his big personality the one thing that people will automatically notice about Eldin is his face. Not just his face, but the expression on it. Eldin's friends say he has something they like to call RMF, or resting mad face. This is part of the reason that other Kalons feel intimidated by him, when in reality he's actually a pretty level headed guy that doesn't get angered easily despite the deceiving look on his face.
Quirks:: A weird quirk about Eldin is that when he gets really excited about something his nose will start to twitch. He'll be halfway through talking about the awesome concert that he went to the day prior and of its own accord it'll start twitching. Eldin gets embarrassed whenever this happens because instead of listening to what he has to say, people will instead stare at his nose. He's trying to explain the awesome stage-dive the lead singer did and they won't even pay attention! Another quirk Eldin has is that when he gets impatient he'll start to hum subconsciously. He won't even realize what he's doing until someone points out the beautiful hummed rendition of My Heart Will Go On that he had been performing minutes prior while waiting for his friends to come over. Needless to say that, paired with his RMF, is a very amusing sight.

Personality:: barak acts more like a science professor than anything. not those insane, crazy professors but those tall, stocky ones that are super intimidating. you know, the ones that seem to hear every noise and when you're discussing something they call you out for it? although he is so intimidating, he doesn't mind sitting down every now and again to have a cup of coffee or a smoothie.

Quirks:: barak has a constant quirk of making the room completely silent before he works on a project or studies. even having the smallest of noises, like a song playing in the background, makes him angry and distracted. he also cannot go a day without studying something. (wish i could be like that.)

Gender:: Male

Personality:: Hades, coming from a rather rich family, can often come off as slightly snobby. Ge listens to classical music, loves horse races and always speaks in very posh tones. Despite this, when others get tp know him, they find he is actually quite down to earth. He is very polite and generally does not look down on others. He seems to be quite an easy Kalon to get on with, always being open to trying new things, or meeting new people.

He is also a very vibrant character. In contradiction to his design and his name, he is very sociable, animated and functions well in social gatherings. He doesn't have many close individual friends but at events, he will always find a group to entertain with his odd stories ir strange party tricks. He is generally the kalon that people remember after thet meet him, because of his outgoing personality.

Despite these qualities, he can also be a little snappy. Generally because he gets quite stressed very easily. He has to plan a lot of gatherings, due to his standing in society, and often finds it a trial to do so. This causes large levels of stress and can make Hades quite snappy, and he often stresses his staff out too, which he always regrets. He doesn't like affecting others, so he does his best to combat the stress. Visiting his favourite horse, Chartreuse, often calms him down.

Finally, Hades can be very forgetful. He has a very busy life, which means he has a very busy mind too. He is a scientist, and he does experiments on energy, specifically unterested in fire and lightning. Along with this, he has to uphold his status, and plan lavish parties. This all means he has more to think about than he can cope with, and often forgets important things. Particularly when they are very small and quick jobs, because they seem insignificant.

Quirks:: Hades enjoys sounds that are generally considered severely unpleasant by others. Things like, running his claws down a chalkboard, or rubbing pieces of polystyrene together, he finds relaxing, and the often calm him down. Others seem to think he's slightly mad, and not to mention get extremely irritated at the noises, and Hades tends to feel rather guilty about this.

To put it into words, he is generally trying to be mysterious, mean, and very cold- but he ends up being a total sweetie once you are friends with him. He mainly does it "For the aesthetic" but he comes off like he'd be a bad friend, in reality he is super down to Earth and very touching once you talk more and more. Ryan also is very deep in conversations, and philosophical. He also finds a ton of interest in analyzing others, and wants to be a psychologist- although he hasn't gone to college for it, he is in high school studying it right now.

Ryan also tries to be diplomatic and peaceful, but ends up looking rude- in class especially trying to be calm- although he is very average, only getting great grades in science, and psychology.
Quirks::
He is super into 'girly' songs, like HE LOVE LOVE LOVES Little Mix songs like Lightning(His personal fav), grown, hair, anything by them.(Also Fifth harmony!!) While this is not a quirk, his friends like to tease him about it.
Some bad habits of him include squinting a ton, saying "Like" and "Literally" when he says anything, making silly faces all the time, biting his pencils/pens when he is nervous/ in school.
Ryan also loves doing his hair, braiding, pony tails, buns- he likes to look nice, especially for his aesthetic perfect look.
Giggling a lot, in school, when his friends talk, he just does it a lot- really bad habit of his.

His favorite movie to the end of the Earth has to be Ferris Bueller's day off. He just thinks it's so relatable - it isn't even funny. Also he loves all the characters especially Cameron, and Jeanie. "It's one of those movies that you can watch and watch and watch over, and every time it gets even better"

Another quirk is he hoards vintage things, and also rocks/crystals- really enjoys shiny things. Collecting Beanie babies, DVDs, old letters/envelopes, insects in glass frames, old stamps, and prints. His hoarding used to be a mere drawer full of trinkets- now its taken up one of his bedroom walls, and his desk."They're all super interesting to have, each of them with a different story"

lastly he is endlessly addicted to looking on amazon and (mainly) ebay for old+new things that would be nice for his collections. The worst part is he doesn't see it as hoarding. As he says "Okay, like I said they are all very precious to me, and all of it isn't garbage, it's treasure."
