Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sentient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

So went with a Halloween-ish Design for this one, I couldn't help myself .////.

Story Behind the Scarf
When Vampi was a little Kalon, her Auntie have her the scarf because the sun hurt her there.
Her Aunti is missing currently, but she loves it dearly loves it and always wears it...

Vampi's Auntie was a sweet Kalon. She was Vampi's caretaker before she went out into the world!
Every day, Vampi would watch her sew and knit various items to sell at the local craft market.
At the craft fair, they'd always get the shady corner spot since Vampi (ironically) hated the light,
since it hurt behind her shoulders. Her Aunti always have her a blanket to cover up it, to help the
pain.

Vampi usually didn't play with others, either. She hurt too much to play with them, so during night,
she'd go out collecting shiny rocks to give her Aunt.

One day, her Auntie didn't take her to the craft fair. She told Vampi, "Sweet, I need to travel
someplace. You should too. I know you'll miss me, but don't worry. Take this scarf I made
for your sunspot. It will help you enjoy life more. I love you.."

Vampi has since then had that scarf. She never goes without it, for it holds her heart. <3

Story behind the scarf;;
Naomi loves, loves, loves autumn, Halloween, and everything in between! So, when she saw this scarf at the Kalmart by her dorm, she "just needed to have it"! Now you may be thinking, "wow, that's so special, a scarf from a cheap retail store". Well, Naomi does love all things fall, but she also loves writing- so much so that she's in her 2nd year at college for a journalism degree; and despite living off ramen noodles, her budget still isn't big enough to buy fancier scarf. Either way, Naomi adores her accessory to death, and can be seen constantly wearing it on and off campus.

Heyo guys and gals! Just wanted to give you a little update. Finals are killing me, and I'm pretty sure I failed all of them, but hey! at least once they're over I'll get back to updating my fics ^^ ALSO!! Starting October, I'll be writing one small scary story a day, to get in the mood of Halloween (my fav holiday, as you all know). I'm also so so SO grateful for all the support I've gotten from everyone, it's really amazing and a bit overwhelming that I've got 11k followers now; my followers are truly the sweetest. story;; urður is an icelandic kalon. her passion is photography, but little does she ever take pictures outside of iceland. once, on a trip to northern canada, she decided to expand her photography and capture the life of a small, warm ski town. during her stay she snatched up a much out of season, ugly halloween scarf shoved in the corner of a gift shop on one of the more chillier canadian days. though it was supposed to just be a sort of i'm-going-to-lose-you-on-purpose-in-the-airport-after-using-you kind of deal, urður became quite attached to it, and now wears it as part of her everyday style.

Story behind the scarf;;

“Mama, W-Where are we going?”
“Colden, enough questions, we must keep moving forward or else they might get us”
“Who mama?”
“Colden I said enough questions.” His mother looked behind her only to see shadows lurking closely behind them. Knowing that they both wouldn’t make it out in time, she pulled her kit close and removed the silky scarf from around her neck, and wrapped it around her kit.
“I don’t have much time to explain this to you, but you must listen. My son, you are strong and you are brave. I won’t be able to continue with you on your journey, but promise me that you will never forget. Never forget your origin and NEVER forget who you are. You’re my son, and I love you so much…” She placed a small kiss on her tearing offspring and ran towards the shadows.
“M-Mama? MAMA!!”

“…Never forget who you are” Those were my mother’s favorite words to use, and the last words I remember her saying before the ones in the shadows took her away from me. Oh? Who am I? I guess an introduction is due. My name is Colden. Colden Dalca. Son of Vale and Marie Dalca. I never knew my father too well and my mother…she was my light, my rock, my best friend. In our little cottage in Transylvania, Romania I never really had any company growing up because I was…different. She never really explained to me why that was. Maybe it was because I found it easier to become friends with bats rather than others of my species…heh. I remember she always told me to stay inside.

Ah I’m getting off track. My scarf? This is the last physical thing left I have of my mother’s. She wore it all the time… The warmth it gives brings back all the memories that we’ve made together as mother and son. Just looking at it reminds me of her. The velvet as red as her eyes, the scent as sweet as a rose after it’s been rained on by the sky. The fondest memory I have of her was her smile…Oh her smile. It cleared the dark clouded skies that constantly hovered over our little cottage. Gosh I miss her…Thanks for taking the time to interview me, but I must go. I’m not too fond of crying in front of others… (396/600)

as a self-proclaimed "modern-day witch," evander knows
the ins and outs of magick. all day, every day, you can
find him reading palms, telling fortunes, or contacting
the dead! not only is this his job, but it's also his gift,
evander is just drawn to magick like the ghosts are
drawn to him. he's mysterious, and quite odd, but his
charm (or, rather, his magic charms) seem to make
other kalons rather interested in him and what he does.


lets start our story by elaborating on if evander truly is "gifted"
in the sense of the supernatural and magical; ... well, that's up
for debate. see, some whole-heartedly believe in his powers and
practices... while others just think he's nuts.
nevertheless, evander still does what he loves, even if others don't
see his abilities in the same light that he does. no one actually
knows if he's a true medium or psychic, though he believes he is,
and would defend his title through everything. on this note, let's explain that evander is... rather peculiar with how he handles things. our story takes us to a small shop on the corner of a small town, in a small state, near a small river in a teeny tiny part of the world. evander visits this shop often - he loves antiques, some of them are haunted, you know - so it's no surprise to find him here. it is quite the surprise, however, for the multiple customers to suddenly hear a kalon ranting and raving about a "power" he feels within the shop, something magical and wonderful and simply too much for him to bear!!
the object in question? a tacky Halloween scarf some poor old soul was selling at the front of the shop for a quarter. he was drawn to it! simply mesmerized! the fantastic power it held had to be evander's, and no mere quarter would keep him from his task of obtaining it!!
so... he bought the scarf.
at least... that's the story he tells to everyone who asks.
and... that's what he told all his pals when they teased him because it's a really tacky scarf... and it was January.
not October.
not even close to October.
January.

but!! he's sworn to his story!! the scarf has a magical power, I tell you! something amazing! something fantastic!! he wont deny it for a second!! it wasn't an impulse buy at all!!!!!
