Hyens are small snails with tiny mugs that they always carry on their backs. The liquid that's in their mugs acts similarly to their blood, but it's also what the snails leave as a trail. Most common is coffee, closely followed by all kinds of leaf and flower tea. However anything but those is rare to encounter.

we've settled on no limits, or none yet at least! there may be some limits mentioned in the descriptions, like if you've adopted a fcfs recently you can't apply for another, but that's completely up to the artist. and, thank you!! c:
