vera is as quirky as they come. she embraces this fully, making her an interesting and funny character to be around. she is filled to the brim
with self confidence, and because of this, rarely ponders any words before they come spilling out of her mouth. needless to say, she's full of
quick, snappy comebacks and odd sayings that she pulls off flawlessly. she loathes being one with the crowd, and goes out of her way to
make sure that she is unique -- even at the expense of being completely wrong. when she was younger, many considered her stupid, when in
fact she is quite intelligent and capable of making logical arguments. in fact, her imagination and ability to retain information is astounding.
it's just that she is simply, that stubborn.
vera is rarely the sentimental type, but when she gets into that mood, she can be nearly stifling. it only really occurs for friends, family, and
that one certain object that will always be hers and hers alone...

vera rarely holds onto things, no matter how sentimental it might be. this is why she only has one object that means the entire world to her.
she takes it everywhere she can, and when she isn't able to take it places she wants to, she makes sure to stash it away in some safe place that
only she knows about. she even creates a small rhyme or riddle in her head so that she can always find that special hidy-hole. this object is
a journal that has definitely seen better days. this journal is usually accompanied by a cheap pen, pencil, or even anything that could
possibly leave some sort of mark on white paper. inside this journal is where vera lets her thoughts run rampant. she doesn't spill secrets or
confessions on the pages, oh no. she lets her imagination run free, like she believes it was meant to. spilling across those rumpled, slightly
stained, yet still good sheets of paper is songs, poems, drawings, and tiny paragraphs and sentences of stories that pop into her head. they
arrive so suddenly and leave so quickly that she feels the need to carry this journal around everywhere with her. the ratty old leather bound
thing is her safety blanket that shelters her from those around her that cast critical, negative, or realist eyes at the world around them.
vera has never been realistic in her life. in fact, she proudly calls herself a dreamer and an optimist. life is too short to be anything but, and
her precious journal is always there to remind her to be quirky and full of confidence.
