Species Story:
Kadin's wish bloomed into a scientists mission.
A team was formed to bring the wish of Kadin's to light.
After splicing DNA of animals the child held dear and the
blessing of spiritual beings, they were able to form these
basic dog cat mixes. They are part cat, part dog, and part magic.
The plate like objects on their backs stem from powerful
mythical beasts, and all Kydons have them as well as the gems.
The gems store the mystical power used to create them in the first
place. Since the magic is somewhat unstable, other mythical
creatures are able to influence the Kydons and can on occasion
cause them to display other mythical creature traits.
They are loyal, kind, and very easy to befriend. Even though
the child who these were made for did not live long enough to
see them, at least their wish for happiness lives on in the Kydons.

Rules

This is a closed species you are not allowed to: recreate the species, make your own, sell the species, trade the species, or claim this as your own species.
If you own a Kydon, you can only trade them on the Exchange forum. And you must let us know when you plan to trade them so we can keep track in the archives.
You are not allowed to splice/breed your own Kydons. You are not allowed to use the designs on other animals.
You are not allowed to change the design. This includes: add things such as wings, extra horns, fur tuffs, or changing the colors, design of the fur, and ect.
Listen to the mods. If you are unsure about anything, ask on the page.
If you take your character off site you must link back here and credit me.
IF YOU BREAK THE RULES YOU WILL BE PUT ON PROBATION. IF YOU BREAK THEM TWICE YOU WILL BE BANNED AND YOUR KYDONS TAKEN.

Kydon's Bio: Equipped with a dry, acerbic almost cruel sense of humor, House is enigmatic and conceals many facets of his personality with a veneer of sarcasm. He appears and sometimes himself claims to be narcissistic (although he also shows many signs of self-contempt which would be impossible for an actual narcissist) and appears to disdain most people, leading some to label him "a misanthrope." These traits make him something of a byronic hero. Despite his cynicism, he does seem to care about his colleagues to a certain extent and while considering them "idiots" is able to sometimes put aside his pride and apologize when he has offended them in a particularly cruel fashion. House uses his flippancy to conceal his affection toward his colleagues, and denies it to the extent that he himself sometimes forgets it. (135 words c: )

Kappa is a very outgoing and adventurous Kydon. His name, Kappa, refers to the tenth star in a constellation, but he doesn't let that stop him from attempting to be the first and the best at nearly everything he does. He is thoroughly capable of standing up for himself and won't hesitate to voice how he feels on a subject, especially his personal beliefs-- he's no soft-spoken Kydon. Unfortunately, his boldness is sometimes mistaken for thoughtlessness or insensitivity-- but he always manages to set things straight. He will generally eschew large crowds in favor of spending time with a small group of near-and-dear friends as he values the depth and quality of their personal relationships over huge, bustling crowds. Overall, he's a very endearing and playful Kydon who won't let small obstacles slow him from achieving whatever he wants.

Kydon's Bio: Landon is a rather quiet male. Out of all of his friends, he could be considered a mute. He spends most of his time at home. One day, he hopes to get a girlfriend - or even just a roommate - to spend his days with. It's rare that Landon will ever tell anyone about this fantasy, though; he doesn't want everyone to think he is desperate, so he keeps everything to himself. Even though quiet, he is very strong both physically and emotionally. Since he is, his desire is to protect his friends, family and future mate. He takes a very strong advantage in his strength, and uses it whenever he can; this means he likes to get into fights... which may get him in trouble in the future.
