What Is a Waelak?
A Waelak ("wa-lahk" with the "a" in "wa" pronounced as "a" in "cat") is a large species of canine (based on evolutionary ancestry, this may be arguable based on physical characteristics) vaguely resembling a fox crossed with a weasel, with antlers and deer-legs. Due to their bio-luminescent eyes and fur, many long-gone natives once believed them to be spirit-guardians who watched over the dead on their way to the next world. All Waelaks have some sort of distinct marking on their tail, which is passed down from parent to offspring. While not yet domesticated, Waelaks can be tamed when raised with humans from a young age

[center]Just take it.. This adopt turned out better then I thought it would, and I kind of fell in love with it. Simple, yet something about it is just right. For this waelak, I would love to give it a home that will love it and cherish it, so to win him/her I would like you to create a piece of art or a story (Over 100 words please). Only one of the options, so you can only create a piece of art OR a story. The art can show them doing their favorite activity, hanging out with friends, facing a fear, whatever you want! The story can be simply their personality, or you can get a bit more creative and show me how they faced their fear or how they meet their best friend. I want to see your creativity! Because this contest requires a bit more work, I will allow you to choose one item you would like added onto your waelak. It can be anything from a necklace to a fancy hat. You may draw the item or just add a description of it. Have fun with this and get creative!

Since Waelak's has been extremely slow, there hasn't been many out. Both of you have been very patient, but I have come to a decision..
Congrats Sabori!
I really loved his name, plus I think it suits this little warrior. The full body has a nice sketchy feel to it, yet the background made me laugh every time.... I've never drawn a skull, but I can try owo.. If you would like it to fit correctly on him, he must be smaller then the average Waelak and his horns must be smaller.
Also..
Congrats rilakkuma.!
I loved the small and simple item that would still add that splash of color! You are awarded a runner up, which will come fully grown. The colors will be different, but still the same pattern and feel. I could see the effort you put into the head shot and you were very patient. Of course, you may decline this.
I will have both up when I have time.

I wouldn't mind him being smaller (actually I think it'd be kinda cute to have a short Waelak. Imagine him trying to pass himself off as a full adult when he becomes one).
And congrats rilakkuma. on the runner up! Perhaps they and Korin can be friends?

Korin has grown up!
Congrats, he is a pretty one.
I added you in to get colors and make your own ref sheet if wanted. I left his baby lines still in there if you want his baby ref. To get his ref without the skull, just get rid of the extra and extra color tabs towards the top.
Note: He is smaller then the average waelak. His horns are ram horns that stick out from the hornless goat skull.
rilakkuma., just comment if you would like your RU
Wow, that's my first skull and it came out pretty good owo..
