Why does this tolter love the water so much?: The water is where she can fill up a hole in her heart; whether it's a stream or an ocean it fills up the gaping void in her heart, left by a stallion who didn't like her because of her love for water. See, he was a desert-loving kind of stallion, and didn't like her splashy ways.

Why does this tolter love the water so much?: Splash is not one to enjoy other's company much. If she's stuck in a pasture all day, she icolates herself. Others don't appreciate her aloof self, she's a girl of thoughts, and doesn't speak much or try to socialize. When she does, it's about ideas of the world. She has her ideas, and they often get shot down, but that won't effect her. Splash is a creative and smart mare if she would stop doubting herself half of the time. But she didn't make herself that way, other's did by their actions. One place where she can let her thoughts go wild, is near water. She especially loves the ocean, but a strong flowing river, or a quiet pond is okay too. It protects her thoughts, and keeps them inside her. The crashing of waves on the white sand stand for other's ideas, crashing on her own, the sand. But the sand still stays, and so does her thoughts. Here, there's no doubting herself. The waves cancel out any sound or lurking thoughts of others telling her she's wrong, or it's a bad idea. If it was up to Splash, she would stand at the water's edge for not hours, but days. Closing her eyes, the wind brush against her face, leaving a salty taste in her mouth. Letting the cold, salty water tickle her front pastens, and occasionally wet the tips of her back hoofs relaxes her. All of her stresses drift away in the tide. Her life is like the ocean, and without it, she would not survive.

Why does this tolter love the water so much?: Kylie hasn't always loved water. At first she was terrified of what it hid, of what could be swimming around in the darkness underneath her. She did, however, love rainstorms. The cool drops bathing her had Kylie feeling free and refreshed. Kylie slowly started to splash around in the shallows of the lake, enjoying the water swirling around her forelegs. A step at a time, Kylie went deeper into the water, lured by the feel of water flowing over her coat. She eventually got over her fears by learning all she could about all the different types of fish. While she does occasionally get that spike of fear when she starts think of the dark void beneath her, Kylie's love for the water and all things in it overcomes her nerves and she never stays away for long.

Amphitrite loves the water due to it being her a massive gift in her foalhood years. She lived in a small barn raised by people who believed in that when something was ready to do something it would, they wouldn't bother it to do something. So Amphitrite would have to provide her own food and water. There was a large glassy lake beside the barn and her and her mother would drink there and play there. One day, her markings showed through her baby fluff and the owners thought it was an omen, a bad one. She was sold on at 10 months old. She hadn't been weaned, they'd just left her to get up to her own devices, so she panicked and screamed a lot. 5 years on and she will never forget her mother and every time she sees a lake, she is reminded on how happy her foalhood days were by that lake.
