The horse stumbled through the forest. Sweat flecked at her neck. She panted frantically and her wild eyes looked around for a way out. The dark forest was lit up by the moon. She galloped on, wondering what had happened to her friends. They had all split up. The Chaser was almost upon her. She tripped and fell, fell, fell. She woke up the next morning. She was alone. Still in the forest. Leaves lay gently on her neck. The mare looked around, she was alone. She rolled onto her knees and shakily got up. The little horse shook the leaves out of her mane. The mare steadily trotted to the edge of the forest. Hoofprints scored the road. Hoofprints. She neighed excitedly. She followed the prints. She found her friends, exhausted and sweaty. They had escaped! She whickered and rejoined them.
