- What is an Aruba?
An aruba is a sea-dwelling creature comparable to seals and fish. Arubae have a horn which allows them to use basic magic, although some arubae may train and hone their magic use. Arubae love to collect various trinkets, though their main interest is anything shiny or glittery. They stash their treasure hoard inside undersea caves. Arubae have four limbs: the upper pair are used for inspecting and manipulating with their opposable thumbs, while the lower pair are used for additional swimming power as well as carrying the various items they find while scavenging shipwrecks. They are omnivorous scavengers, and will eat whatever they can find.
• Rules •
- Respect all staff, members, people, human beings, everyone and anything.
Do not complain about any decisions or actions made by staff or other users.
Follow and respect the species guide and anatomy of arubae. Do not change the design of an aruba you or anyone else receives without specific permission from the staff.
Do not steal, bribe, cheat, lie, or otherwise act unfairly by any means.
Leave the jobs and tasks of staff to the staff. This includes but is not limited to mini-modding.
Do not ask for: a custom, to be apart of the staff, or anything else that is appointed by admins only.
You may not sell, gift, readopt, or trade away your arubae. If you no longer want it, ownership is returned to the admin(s).
Arubae cannot be fursonas.
Admins and artists hold the right to withhold ownership from any user trying out for an aruba, so long as there is a fair and just reason.
There is a current ownership limit of three arubae per user, so choose wisely! This limit may be extended in the future.
All staff are permitted one custom aruba. I hold the right to give customs to whomever I so desire. Please respect and understand that.
Enjoy your arubae and have fun!
• Staff •
Admins hold the responsibilities of both an artist and a moderator -- that is, making designs as well as making sure the species runs smoothly. They make the species-wide decisions and are the head honchos. Admins hold the final decision in disputes that moderators or artists cannot handle. They do, of course, cosult their staff before making huge decisions(we're not dictators).
Artists create designs for arubae and post them as adoptables. They decide what sort of adoptable-contests they want to hold for their designs. They hold the right to reject an applicant that enters for their design so long as there is a fair and just reason. Artists should not be expected to settle disputes on threads, unless the dispute is on their design thread and they desire to handle it themselves(as opposed to a moderator).
Moderators are responsible for making all of the aruba-related threads run smoothly. They are to be respected and listened to; any decision they make regarding disputes should be followed by any of the members involved. They can answer any questions regarding the species or the rules.
Archivists take record of every aruba adopted out. They note in the Archives to whom each aruba belongs, and take note of which arubae are mates in the Mate Archives.
