Deity of Secrets and Deception; The Trickster God
Secrets... there are many types of secrets, some good, some bad, some neutral. But one thing about secrets is that everyone, at some point, has told a secret and has kept a secret. The Trickster knows this; he is the reason that it is so! He is the keeper of secrets, who locks them away to never be told... and who gives them up, for a price. He is the teller of untruths, half-truths, and hidden truths, the white liar, the storyteller, the false witness. He is rarely to be trusted with his words, for he uses them as a device, a weapon of deception. He is the weaver of myths, tall-tales, and fiction, the master of falsification and fabrication, with power that allows him to alter someone's reality for an amount of time, causing them to believe things that are untrue. But fear not, for he is merely an observer most of the time, choosing to avoid direct confrontations. He'd much rather keep out of sight to the background, waiting for a chance to cause trouble...
While the Trickster may seem unreliable, it is said that he will grant favors to those who offer him prayers and gifts. If you're looking to earn the guidance of the Trickster God, whisper a secret into the air as an offering, and he may present to you something that you wish... but be warned - he is a fickle beast, and you would do best to not listen too closely to his words, for he is, after all, the God of Secrets and Deception.
Will you take up the task of keeping watch over this deity?
You'll need to catch his interest first, a task which in itself may prove to be difficult...
Show him that you deserve his fealty - go forth and develop the Trickster into a God to be revered!
