This egg fell in the north and into a pond of icy cold water. The temperature there wasn't cold enough to freeze the pond over but also not warm enough to thraw the ice gathering at the edges. The egg floated there for 100 years with nothing but the lonesome ripples as companion as the harsh wind blew.
