Her name is Asuri. It means blue in Novial. She was given this name because on the day she was born, flowerbushes surrounding her home bloomed in a deep blue colour. This name is befitting for her not only because of those flowers but also because blue is Asuri's favourite colour, if she wants, she can disapear among those flowers because she looks so alike to them.

Asuri is a sweet and gentle nymph. She is shy towards strangers at first, but she quickly comes to like them, and she loves making new friends. Her favourite past times are taking care of flowers and spending time with her friends and the animals of the meadow and forest that she lives in. She can connect to all living things emotionally and understand how they feel, even plants. This is why the flowers around her home bloom beautifully. She cares deeply for all living things, and even though she is normally docile, if a living being like an animal or a tree is in danger, she will show courage and try her very best to defend it.





She loves the smell of flowers and nature, because it makes her feel serene and at ease. She likes to wake up very early in the morning, when the birds are still asleep, and hide in a nearby bush to hear the meadow awaken with the sound of the birds, while sh watches the sunrise. During the day she likes to sunbathe, or bathe in a nearby stream, and talk with animals, plants and other nymphs. During the night she likes to lie down on her favourite rock and to look at the stars and the night sky. Her favourite foods are fruits like strawberries, that she can take from the plants, because the berries will fall off anyway. But she makes sure to plant enough berries in return so that new plants will grow. She also loves to help creatures in need, or otherwise just talk to them and have fun. Next to that she also loves flying, especially at night, at sunrise or -set, or if the sky is very clear during the day her favourite song is Sunshine by Ginger Ninja, because it is a very cheerful song about sunlight, which she loves. Her favourite movie is Planet Earth, because it shows all the beauty of the planet she lives on and the places she can't ever visit herself. . Her favourite season is spring because then everything comes to life.





Being a nymph born from nature herself, Asuri dislikes anything that could possibly destroy or contaminate nature. The smell of things like car exhaustions. She also has a big fear of fire, since fire has the power to destroy her home. In nymphs or people, she dislikes arrogance and rudeness. She prefers being kind to being unkind. She strongly dislikes winter because it is so cold that many plants and animals die, and she can barely find something to eat. She also can't fly as well when she's cold.





Asuri was born from a hydrangea bush that has grown for a long time in the middle of a small, hidden spot on a big meadow. This particular flower bush, was right above a tiny stream that flowed underground, so it always had access to water, no matter how little rain fell. Because of this, Asuri was born. She has spent her entire life near that bush. And even though she has grown way too big to sit on its petals, she still loves to be near it.

Bouncing hooves echoed through the forest just as the laughter rang with sweet bell’s charm. The nymphs were all dancing in a circle, hands joined together as they sang their songs of serenity.
No one took notice of the soft rustle within the bushes where the timid figure found her refuge. Watching the evening dance, a little child held her breath in awe. Oh, how she longed to join into the laughing and the fun! Alas, the fear held her prisoner within its taunts and paralyzing spells…

The reason for the name:
The name itself is of the hawaiian origin and
bears a meaning of "cool breeze."
I found it to be the perfect name for this
little nymph for the gentle scent of
peegee hydrangeas would always
envelop her along her travels.
Just as the breeze, this nymph
enjoys to travel and run along
the woods in peace and solitary.
