Um, yea, and their feathers & beads are a part of them, can't be removed or anything like that. The little bead things are kinda glowy, and they're on those little spokes that are somewhat antennae like, they can bob and weave a bit as the plumerians move :3
annnnd they were thought to be extinct for a while, they've been around for a long time; thought to be evolved from late ancestors of the archaeopteryx. fossils and such had been found, and eventually a couple living plumerians were discovered, much to the world's surprise. through breeding programs and preserves, they're now quite plentiful ...
