- Dreamcatchers are a tiny breed of horse; they only reach 30cm at full height, and the males tend to be taller.
- When a human child is born, a dreamcatcher is also born, no-one quite knows how because they are not truly assigned to their human until they are five - As an untrained foal would be useless fighting against a nightmare and most children are too innocent to begin having nightmares any earlier.
- The mane, tail and eye nebula are made of dreams. Good dreams.
- Because they are so light they are able to float through the air.
- A dreamcatcher stallion often gives a mare jewellery for their horns to show they love them.
- The dreamcatcher mares have an eye nebula {the trail behind their eye} while the males dont.
- They will stay with you until you die, but once you die their symbiotic bond with you is severed and they also pass on, to "The Dream World" - The Dream World is where they get their rest from nightmares, a reward for fighting nightmares, some may even call it an eternal slumber.

Ok, so one of the suggested colours for a Dreamcatcher was grullo, so I started off with a grey/silver and blue theme, but then I saw this picture and I kinda went off on an icy tangent. ^^;

Name: Khione (after the Greek goddess of snow who is the daughter of Boreas, god of the North Wind)
Age: 17
Gender: Mare
Personality: Khione is a fairly quiet, reserved mare, quite the opposite of her assigned human. Her human, Sarah Jeane, has a problem talking too much. She often ends up over-thinking things and has to have someone around to figure things out for her. Khione doesn't just tell Sarah what to do. She often ends up perching delicately on Sarah's shoulder, looking at her calmly. Sarah looks back at Khione and finally ends up managing to calm down. Khione may as well be mute. But you can tell from one look at her that she is wise beyond her years. Her gaze itself is calming, just as calm as a fresh blanket of snow. Her voice however, is almost chilling. It's as though her words are shards of ice. So Khione generally only speaks when she is angered.
History: Khione doesn't remember too much of her family life. All she could remember about her family really is them always telling her that she needed to speak up. They said that she would never be a successful Dreamcatcher if she didn't speak to her child.
Extra(s) (optional): Sarah Jeane, Khione's human, is studying to be a veterinarian. She often gets frazzled and, as mentioned above, relies on others to make decisions for her. Khione doesn't do that for her, however. Khione's calming silence and listening ears help Sarah to talk about what she is thinking, calm down, and eventually stop over-thinking. Sarah is slowly learning to rely more on her own judgment, thanks to Khione. Of course, on the occasion that Sarah ends up being wrong, Khione still offers a listening ear.
