He rarely uses his eyes and tends to be a loner due to others not understanding and making fun of him.

Lumi's problem is mostly how noticeable and different he is from others, and is usually looked at as an outcast. He gets these odd headaches at times, which he usually assumes has something to do with his albinism. He's easy to spot, and is usually targeted by predators for his brighter hues and thin shape.

What problem does he have according to his albinism (genetically or other) and how does he deal with it? Well because albino is such a rare trait to come across, he is often narrowed down by his other fellow DAMs. They point at him because he is different and to them he must be quite the odd 'attraction' so to say. Every now and again hurtful comments are thrown his way and although sometimes they do cause him a bother he tends to try to not let it get to him. More often than not, Skylark believes his albinism is special in the fact that he has heard a long history of myths has attributed supernatural powers or deviant personalities to animals with albinism. He believes he too has some odd, rare, maybe even magical trait that gives him such powers and sets him apart from everyone else. Call it a young foal's foolish dream but nonetheless it helps him deal that he is different, different in a good way.

okay, okay, the song is for a gal xD but it fits my impressions belongs to him so much!

What problem does he have according to his albinism (genetically or other) and how does he deal with it?
Many animals are deaf, when they are complete albinotic - aren´t able to produce any melanin. So, Marteria equally. But he isn´t handycapped in any way. He´s a clever, little brain and found out when he was a filly, that sand reacts onto vibrations. Perhaps a little like this:

He experiences movements outside eye-minded focus with his hooves. Everything touches the desert sand around him with more or less hardness he feels and is able to allocates it. Therefore he loves rain. When a shower goes down on earth, he closes his eyes and enjoys the special experience often. He´d learned to turn weaknesses into Strenghten. Altough there are parts about his albinism he curses till today. Especially he fears to get melanoma, he is very prone for. He controls his fur for suspect embossments frequently and parts of his body he can not review, other DAM´s of his herd looks for. Meanwhile it growths up into a proper tic.

When he was much younger, he wasn't accepted into his family herd, even his mother didn't like him... One night he ran away, heading to find somewhere to find where he could say 'I belong here.' As he trotted, cantered, and galloped away he searched the plans for a new herd.
One day, as he was walking over the now rocky area, he saw a mountain lion... Curious at what he was doing he followed it quietly, he noticed a herd on the horizen... A small group of foals and fillies playing around, not too far from the herd, the lion's eyes, on them.
Swooping in as the lion pounced he almost trampled the lion, which quickly ran away. The herd cried with joy, wanting him to join the herd... He said no, he was on a quest for his family... As he turned and walked away the group followed, starting with the fillies and foals he had rescued...

Over time, he became the leader of the herd, and nobody sees him for being different, just powerful

Most horse he met either ignored or teased him because of this. He become extremely shy around other horses and he tended to stay away for them, period. Until the day he stumble upon another yearly, a bold and fiery stallion named Pyroentis. Who's made him learn that his coloring was special and unique. Now in days, though some horses make fun of his color he learned to ignore them and love the color he has.

Ali struggles with sunburn, which is no surprise when you live in the harsh rays of the desert sun. He solves this problem by wallowing in wet sand created by oasis water pools. The mud type concoction turns his beautiful light creme pelt a mucky brown complexion.
