If I could adopt this wonderful pseudodragon, I'd name her Azuri c:

A worn light blue collar with a name tag labeled, "Azuri"

Many, many years ago, Azuri had been brought in by a family from a shelter. Her new owners had treated her so well, they had loved her and cared for her like never before. Especially, one could say, by the father of the family. He would always be the first one to wake up and take care of her, and the last one to go to sleep after making sure she was well. Their bond fastened quickly, the man and the pseudodragon were almost unseperatable. One day while the man had to leave the household to attend his weekly job, Azuri started wandering further than her usual strolls down the neighborhood. Vast streets, roaring cars, infinite house alined- she got lost faster than she could notice! Azuri panicked, Every human house looked the same! She couldn't tell which was that of her beloved owner. She wandered down the sidewalk, walking until the sun's last rays sinked into the horizon. Suddenly she heard the roar of a car stopping by her on the street. She turned around, her heart racing as she imagined what could happen if this stranger meant harm, but no harm came. It was her beloved owner who stepped out of the car and picked her up. He was smiling and kept her by his side until they reached their home.
The next day when Azuri awoke, she heard the front door close and she raced to the main room to see who it was. It was her owner! And something was different, he was smiling and looking at her while holding a grocery bag. But not just any grocery bag, a grocery bag from her favorite Pet store! Azuri jumped up and tried to look into the bag but the man quickly pulled it up high out of reach and motioned for her to wait. His grin grew wider. She followed him into the next room and watched him sit down and pull the bag onto his lap. He put his hand in and pulled out….a circular piece of cloth? She turned her head sideways, confused as to why her owner had bought a circular object like that. Was it maybe a new belt(as she heard him use the word and viewed its purpose)? He looked at her, clearly amused with her cute confused face. He took the round object and fastened it around her neck, then he said to her," This is a collar, it goes around you neck and has your name on it so you'll won't get lost again." Azuri finally relized its purpose, no, the
collar's purpose and smiled at her owner.
Many years later, her owner had had a horrible accident. He had passed away, forcing their family to have to give Azuri to the shelter and move to a new city because of loss of money. Ever since her dear owner had passed away, her heart was full of despair and loneliness. The shelter took bad care of her, ignoring her and sometime even forgetting to give her food and water. It was then that she felt that all was lost. She felt she had no future beyond those shelter fences.
There was one day though, when a new family had moved in, with a child who had been begging for years for her family to get a pet. And it came that day, the girls birthday. The parents knew she was old enough. And so that one, beautiful day, a family had walked through the doors of the shelter, strolling through the halls filling with pets of all sizes, species, and genders. The girl walked through one aisle, and it had not been long until something had caught her eye, a small, blue animal called a Pseudodragon. She begged to adopt this one, as it had stolen her heart away the second she caught its eye, all the softness of the creature's heart reflecting through its iris. On the car ride home, she saw a collar on the little creatures neck. On the tag, it had been written, "Azuri". So the small Pseudodragons name had been revealed to the girl.
From that day on, Azuri was happy and well taken care of where she stayed. Her heart had once again filled with joy and happiness, yet one part still longed for her deceased owner.
Finally on the anniversary of the heart-tearing event, she wandered into the backyard at night and saw the Pseudodragon who lived next door sitting on the fence. He looked toward her and noticed her sadness and said," Whats bothering you Azuri?" She looked at him with sad eyes and responded," A year ago, my beloved owner had died. I can not cease the pain which my heart pours out." Her eyes watered up,"I just feel so lonely sometimes.." The other pseudodragon said nothing for a moment, then he responded,"You must let the grief go, what is done is done. You had an honorable owner. Instead of crying, you should be rejoicing the life he had lived." Azuri nodded and looked up at the sky, taking a moment to enjoy the peace that had begun to fill her. Then she finally said," Your right. Tonight though, would you like to enjoy the night with me?" The other pseudodragon responded," I can not, I must go and sleep now. You should take a moment of vigil for your loss." She understood and responded one last time,"Farewell then, the stars are indeed lovely tonight."
The neighboring pseudodragon stopped in his tracks for a moment, then looked at her and said,
"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather opening where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."
