A Rioji is a weasel-like creature with long, bendy ears and a huge lengthy tail. Rioji's use these strong, flexible tails to grab faraway objects, climb, and to defend themselves, and most improtantly for warmth. Occasionally, they have fun and jump around, using their tails as springs. Humans particularly like these tails because they give great hugs! Riojis are very friendly, non aggressive creatures. They can be found nearly anywhere, and their tails make them easy to find. A Rioji's diet consists of mostly plants, but they also enjoy meat as snacks. Do you have the patience to call one of these your own?

"Hey, I'm Just Some Fangirl, but you can call me Fangirl or Fan if you'd like. I'm currently a non-owner, although I did try out for one other Rioji about a month ago. Unfortunately, I did not win, but that just means it wasn't meant to be. I would like to make this my first, because he is very handsome and I instantly fell in love when I saw him. I simply adore all of his designs and how even though he is a boy, you weren't afraid to put some pink on him."

"Adam is very curious. He isn't afraid to put his nose where it doesn't belong and go in places he shouldn't. Once he got in trouble for hiding in a log for at least 3 days straight, even though he was simply trying to see what it was like to be in one. Let's just say he didn't like it all that much."

Daredevil
'' This handsome lad is quite the daredevil. He will do anything his friends tell him to with no hesitation, unless of course, it is life threatening. He may be comfortable with taking things to the extreme, but he isn't stupid."

"An odd thing that Adam keeps to himself is that he loves to dance. He enjoys hip-hop dancing and took a ballet class as a dare. He is actually very good at all dancing. Whenever he is at a party he is the first one moving, and usually the last."

Stylish
"Adam loves his style. He is always in the most fashionable clothes and was awarded "Most Fashionable" by his friends. Even when it is out of style, though, he will always have his crimson red scarf wrapped neatly around his neck."

"One thing about him is that he is a very charitable boy. He loves to help others and will give away his time to do so. Very often he gives people help with stuff they need to do and will donate money to good causes."

"Adam prefers to live in big cities such as New York and Las Vegas. He likes to party and have fun, so where else would be a better place? He loves noise, so the sound of rushing cars would entertain him, while the abundance of interesting places to go would keep him busy for a while. Also, Adam would enjoy the rushed feeling of the subway trains and such, because he enjoys moving fast and getting where he needs to go in the fastest time possible."

"Adam chose to live alone for almost his whole life. He wanted to be a loner, and not talk to people for a while. Before he found out what he loved to do, he would wander around and think of fun activities and games to play. Eventually, on his birthday, he got his little red scarf from his parents. He treasured that scarf very much, and later found himself doing more things involving fashion. One year Adam got his own sewing machine, and has been making clothes ever since. People say that fashion designing is girly, but he doesn't care. He would stitch and sew for hours on end, only stopping to eat and drink. This became a bad habit of his, sitting quietly, alone in his room while the people he cared about would socialize and have fun without him. Once he got out of his addiction to sewing, Adam started to go to parties and make friends. He would always love to listen to the music and sing along while he danced happily with the ones he called his friends. This lead to him becoming curious, always wanting to try new things. He was also taking many dares from his buddies, and would never back down from any challenge they gave him. This pattern of events shaped him into the fun loving guy he is now, and he enjoys every minute of every day because of it."

Kita Pronounced "key-tah".

Personality:
Kita would have a reserved personality. Unused to contact with
others, he'd usually not speak much and what little he did say
would be a bit peculiar. He would enjoy exploring, per usual
for a rioji, and while traveling along the northern Californian
coast he'd collect little things like shiny stones and feathers.
He'd be kind and gentile, not at all harsh in any way. His
curiosity would be limitless. Despite his natural reluctance to
leave the environment he was born in, he'd always be dreaming
of lands of different types and animals he'd never seen before.
He would particularly enjoy exploring the rocky beaches during
low tides, trying to uncover starfish and little creatures
trapped in the endless tide pools.

Choice of Habitat:
I would put Kita in coastal northern California,
in the shrubby land between forest and ocean. There, it's rocky
and all year the weather is relatively chilly. He would be able to
wander a bit into the redwood forests, but his primary territory
would be nearer to the coast. He probably wouldn't leave the grassy,
shrubby area unless he felt like exploring the rocks below on the beach
or got the taste for a food that only grew in the forest.

Backstory/History:
Kita was born north from where he wanders today, up in the cold rainy
forests of Washington. The rioji in this area, like him, had longer, softer
fur than average because of the cooler climate. This led to many of them
being hunted. When he was still very young, Kita's mother took him and his
siblings south to the redwood forests. It proved to be safer there. The
forests were protected and hunting, if it were allowed, was more strictly
monitored. At maturity, Kita left his family to be on his own he traveled
west. When he hit the coast he turned north and since has been wandering
up and down Northern California, occasionally taking detours into the
redwood forests or onto the beach. Since adulthood, Kita has run into
few humans or other rioji. Of the four rioji he has come across, one was his
mother, one his sister, and two were strangers that seemed to have
wandered too far north for their own good. He also has come into
contact with three humans. Two were lost tourists and the other
one was a local doing the same as Kita: looking for starfish.
