Pokemon #5

Postby Shaymins » Wed Jan 08, 2014 1:54 pm

    Yep, a lazily made Ho-oh without head-plumes
    in the RP because I am not in the mood for judging
    I can make legendaries because I can.

    This has been made a form contest due to school and life, it'll be simple and will end when I get at least 2-3 forms! All you have to do is tell me a folktale you made up, or you found on the internet. The one I find most clever- will win! c: I don't mind if you copy and paste the folktale, as long as your credit, oh and some hints;

    1.) I like short folk-tales, ones that are short to the point without much detail and elaboration!

    2.) Names with meanings always get me >w<, bonus points if you base the name off his/her personality and not his colors/design! c:

    Ready, set, go! c:
Na;
Gender;
Folktale?;

The fast one and the Slow one
One day there was a girl. She loved racing though she was very slow. She had a brother, he was really fast. He always teases her but she grew confident. She challenged her brother to a race, and he laughed and accepted. "It's obvious that you'll lose!" He said, getting up. The sister stomped her foot in frustration. "You'll see who wins!" She said, walking over to a path. The brother followed, snorting. The mother waved the flag as in a signal as she shouted, "GO!" The brother and sister started to run but the sister was really slow. The sun was setting so the brother looked behind him. "Hmph, such a slowpoke," he told himself as he got off the path to have a little rest. He leaned against a tree and rested for a while. When he woke, the stars was bright in the sky. "Well, she's still probably walking so I'll be able to win this race." The brother said, running to the finish line. But at the corner of his eyes he saw that the sister was receiving a medal from her mother. He gasped, running to the finish line. "But you're so slow!" He shouted aloud. "It doesn't matter if someone's slower than you, they still have a chance to win." That was all the sister said before going back to her house.

Name:: Ayashe, a Native American Cheyenne name meaning "little one."
Gender:: Genderless; though referred to in feminine pronouns.
Personality:: Just as her name suggests, Aya is a very childish Ho-Oh. She'll commonly find trouble, and, even if she's not looking for it, trouble will find her. She's very shy around strangers, and will commonly hide behind her friends when meeting someone new. Likes to cause mischief wherever she goes by dropping rocks on people. Small ones, mind you.
Folktale:: The Black Dog of Hanging Hills.
Now that the existential crisis has passed, I'm not leaving! Sorry for the momentary scare, folks!

Is it okay for me to enter?
    Name; Gariel
    Gender; Male
    Folktale?; One day- a grizzly old man came to town, yet he be poor and homeless- he had one thing everyone wanted. His yellow teeth. His glowing yellow teeth. Rumor's spread quickly that the man's teeth we're worth at least five grand- and all the shops closed down, only looking for the old-mans teeth, some even said they'd sell their shop for one of the teeth. People made plans, trying to ambush the man- maybe even kill him for the precious object, but to no avail- the man always escaped, not even knowing what the folk people we're planning. There was one day, when a young old boy finally announced- "I will get those golden teeth, and I will be rich rich rich!" he said, and the town had turned into a uproar, while the boy set off- determined to get the teeth. The old man of course, he was sitting in the sand, seeming like he was whispering ancient words to the ground, the boys eyes glittered and he carefully made his way to the man, saying- "Hello, would you kindly pull out one of your teeth for me?" the boy said, trying to be as polite as possible. Though- this old man wasn't reliable, he knew exactly why he wanted the teeth. "Sure, young laddie" he said, pulling one out, he was awed at how they came out so easily! "Thank you!" he cheered, placing the tooth carefully in his pocket, and sprinting back to the town. Once he got there, the folk crowded him- waiting for the news. "I have got it! a gold tooth!" he said, pulling it out of his pocket. Though- the folk-people frowned, "That's not a golden tooth! It's just a plain old yellow tooth!" one shouted, shaking his fist in the air in rage. The boy looked bewildered, staring at them. He looked at the object in his hands- it was yellow, it wasn't glowing and it was just a dirtu old tooth. The old man watched from a corner, smiling.
    The Moral of this folk-tale?: Greed never gets you anywhere. (This folktale idea was created by me, please do not steal it!)

Thank you for the remidner bump! I have decided on a winner..

Dangit memphis will be taking this lovely boy home! I loved all the forms, but sadly there can only be one winner. Although, I put a new legendary up, so you may try out! Although, the winner of this Ho-oh may try out too! No bashing please, most of the Pokemon here are free-for-all's! c:
