A take on the "White Elephant Gift Exchange"
So, as everyone is giving out gifts, I am joining! But rather than offer customs, or doing an advent, this year I'm going to be doing a game! This is how it works:
Staff members post the phrase "I'm in the White Horse Gift Grab, and I'm a(n) (Staff position here)!". I will be making gifts over the next few days, and when I've reached my maximum number, I will announce the game start date! :D
This is how the game works. I will take the list of staff and run them through a randomizer. Each of you will be granted a number, and that's the order you will choose in. The first person to go will pick a gift from the "pile" (of course it'll be wrapped so you won't know what the horse looks like!) The second person to go will have a choice: "steal" the gift from the person before them, or pick a new gift from the pile! (Remember, there's no need to get upset, everyone will get a gift! :D ) If the first person gets their gift stolen, then they will take a new gift from the pile. This will continue to go on until every staff member who entered has a gift- then I'll unveil them to everyone. :D
In addition, since I've heard from some people that all the staff are getting gifts and while there are simply too many non-staff for me to open the game to everyone, I can offer some of you a little gift. Any "extra" gifts will be given away randomly to non-staff who post this on this thread: "I'm not a staffie, but I would love a gift!" I can't say that you'll definitely get one, but there is a chance. ;3
