What is a Jellybean Dragon?

A Jellybean Dragon is a fluffy, friendly dragon that hatches from a jellybean-like egg. Their diet consists of fruits and insects, but they also love sweets and desserts. Their fur is soft and long, usually brightly colored, neat, and shiny. Jellybean Dragons are mostly gentle and happy, and love attention. Most are Great Dane-sized when they are fully grown, but some of them can grow as big as a cow. All Jellybean Dragons have pouches on their bellies, which they use to carry around food or younger JBDs.

Name: Aleida Brielle Walker

~Explanation: Aleida, as she prefers, is named because of her parents' inability to agree on a lot. Her father wanted to name her Brielle and her mother liked Aleida. They ended up compromising with Aleida Brielle Walker. {{36 words}}
Age: 18 years young

Sexuality: Honestly, Aleida has liked both genders, but she still doesn't know. Note, she takes more of a liking to keeping to herself.

Story: The salty, warm, summer breeze stirred up Aleida's fur as she walked along the beach to work. People biked by, sat at smoothie shops, and walked on the sidewalks. Aleida, naturally, was going to work at the surf shop not a mile from her apartment. She smiled a bit and adjusted her t-shirt that she was required to wear for work. Thoughts ran through her head, she had an assignment due for her class tomorrow, but she would prefer to go surfing after work. Aleida knew she should have done the assignment weeks ago, but she was busy trying to make more money to pay off the rent. Despite being a hard worker, Aleida was just slacking lately. She lacked motivation. The brown bean looked over the ocean as she walked, spotting some sea lions playing on the rocks. She laughed a bit, knowing she looked kinda like one. I wish I could be happy and free, like they are. Shaking her head free of the thoughts she felt weigh down on her mind, she forced herself to look back at the sidewalk. Still, the image of the happy family of sea lions stuck in her mind all the way to work.

The way back from work was windy and cold. Aleida shivered in her thin jacket she had brought with her. Storm clouds had gathered over the horizon as well, making the sunset look rather haunting and forbidding. Waves hissed on the beach, throwing up spray. She stopped on the bridge to look over at the small lagoon that ran under it. The current had switched, pushing into the lagoon rather than out to the ocean. She turned to walk to her apartment, but found herself walking down onto the beach. There was an open space under the bridge she preferred to sit under when she wanted to think. The only thing on her mind was those sea lions she saw earlier. But the rocks were slippery as all the waves pounded on them. Aleida's paws slipped out from under herand she fell into the churning ocean. Her back broke through the cold water and suddenly she couldn't breathe. Which way was up? Her paws flailed against the current to no avail. Staring up at the water all around her, the riptide sucked her under the bridge and out to the long river. Strangely, she was calm. So this was what all of those children she had to save felt like. It didn't bother her. Maybe her mom would see her body on the news and come back to her dad. What did it matter to her? Her little Aleida was dying and she never saw her live. But Aleida heard a splash above her, then strong arms lifted her up and dragged her to the surface. Try as she may, she could not see who it was who was saving her life so recklessly. Couldn't they see they could die too?! The strong arms did not let go, and she felt them start kicking.The two reached the shore and rain began to fall. Aleida closed her eyes, coughing up water. She lay there for a very long time. When she opened her eyes, she was alone. Confused, Aleida got up and began to stumble home. She got to her apartment, took a shower, and got into her bed. She didn't ever find out who her mysterious savior was.

Personality: Aleida seems to be simple in the way she acts around others. She's a bit quiet at school, not saying much. She will be rowdy around her friends, but it is hard to get her out of her shy side. There isn't much that anyone knows about her besides that she's a great surfer. Yet, Aleida wishes she could be loud and happy and an example to others. Little does she know that many do look up to her for being nice to everyone. She understands other's trials because of her mother leaving, and she let it change her for good. Aleida is a chill, fly, quiet and kind bean. Despite being semi-popular, Aleida is still quite the tomboy. She found a happy in between after freshman year of high school, where she still dressed and acted like a girl but she's not entirely a lady. She'd rather go longboard on the pier than go shopping at the mall. Her few close friends don't mind, because they are a lot like her. Inside, Aleida knows she is content with her life as it is. The only things she would like would be to have her mom back and to be loud and bubbly. {{203 words}}
Accessories: Aleida doesn't have a certain thing she wears from day-to-day, but she often wears her lifeguard tank top (or a sweatshirt for colder weather) on free days. She has a light blue leather braided bracelet from a friend who was moving across the country that she never takes off, even when she's in the ocean. She'll also often wear a Volcom snapback, which is also light blue but it is faded from a few years of use. She has a few ear piercings as well, and a few tail decorations. {{90 words}}

Brief History: Aleida grew up happily with her parents until she was about six years old. They would do everything together and her mother home schooled her. Then problems began to start. Her parents would fight about every single little thing. This continued for five years, all the way until her twelfth birthday. Many times both of Aleida's parents threatened to leave, until one day it happened. Her mom ended up leaving and taking most of their stuff with her. When her mom left, her dad was forced to put her in a public school because he couldn't teach her. Aleida hasn't seen her mom since, and she was very close to her dad. Her mother's absence in her life seems it hasn't affected her, but she has always dreamed of meeting her mom again. Aleida doesn't admit it, but because of this she has always wanted a big happy family whether or not she has kids. {{155 words}}

Aleida loved the color pink as a child, and she would sing all the time. She liked to play in the sand at the beach and to play with her parents. Brief History: Aleida's teen years were nothing special, nothing picture perfect like in the movies. She was more focused on making money to have friends or go to parties, and a quiet girl. But she had a few friends throughout highschool. Aleida liked to longboard with them, go to bonfires, the movies, and just hang out on the beach. After highschool her friends went off to their lives and left her. She tried not to let it bother her but deep down, she is afraid everyone will leave like her mom did.

Brief History: Young Chex Mix had an unfortunate
beginning. Her mother died when she was born. All she
remembers is seeing a glimpse of light-brown fur.
Chex's father was never seen.He wasn't with her at
birth or ever. She had only heard his name a couple
times, and once heard the faint whisper of 'Looks
just like him'. None of her mothers' or fathers'
family wanted Chex, so the bean was put in an
orphanage. The orphanage was small, and
cramped between a coffee shop and a travel
agency. It was made of brick, but it was more
the color of ash. Chex didn't mind though.
She spent her time reading, barely socializing
with her room mates. As the months past,
Chex didn't really know what she was waiting for.
But on one wonderful day, Chex and the others'
were taken to the zoo. She was mesmerized by
one certain creature; the Sea Lion. After that
day, Chex spent her time learning about them,
and on occasion, making friend with her
roommates.

Brief History: Chex Mix was then adopted!
...By a pair of circus beans. Chex was surprised a
pair of odd beans would choose her, but she was
still thankful. As she arrived to their pull-car. It
consisted of a bed.. and the space under the bed.
Not even a curtain. Chex was appalled beans
wanted to live like this. She, in the circus,
became the back stage slave. She cleaned,
organized, and tended to everything and everyone.
Chex hated it.. She didn't feel like she had a reason
to live.On occasion, Chex was able to see their
circus seal. It was the only thing that kept her
sane {And maybe Tassel}... until Chex Mix
turned 15. On a dark night, Chex took her little
belongs and fled. She soon found a friend willing to
share an apartment.

Relationships:
Chex had a crush on another bean
in their circus. He was a clown, and his name was
Tassel. Chex never had a friend at the circus, but
if she had to choose, Tassel was it. Tassel had an
odd personality, especially one that seemed like
it wouldn't fit with Chex's. He always knew what
to say to her, but once Chex told him she was
leaving, Tassel had no words. Only soft eyes and
a hug. Chex often wonders what would have happened..

Bashful, a word most use to describe Chex Mix. Being bashful meaning to be awkward and shy around others; mostly beans she doesn't know. This makes it really hard for Chex to make friends.. and extremely hard to talk to crushes.

Chex is naive- and hopefully she will grow out of it. Being naive means lacking wisdom & judgement. Its also means that she is gullible and believes the world is a trusting place. Chex hasn't yet experienced the dark side of the world- the part that isn't so pretty. Being lightly aware of this trait, Chex tries to keep herself out of trouble.

To compliment Chex Mix's naiveness, {It's a word, I checked!} she has determination. Being determine means to not give up or to try again after failing. Since Chex is a naive young bean, she is deceived a lot. But she gets back up and tries again... Most of the time.

Accessories:
Chex always wears a blue bracelet. She got it at the zoo on her first visit. Ever since that wonderful day, Chex Mix has never taken it off. It is worn, but the material lasts long. She has promised herself that if it ever falls off, she will buy the exact same one. Chex also, occasionally wears her favorite outfit- A white wavy shirt, {I mean its not thick} a pair of sunglasses and an anchor necklace. {Currently trying to get art!}

Employment: Chex Mix works at the nearby zoo in the summer. She likes her job; its been better than previous ones. Chex has had this job for about two summers. She works 5 days a week. This bean cares for all the creatures there. This includes feeding, cleaning, and socializing with them. She loves to learn new things from the senior employees and see the {most of the time} happy faces on the visitors. Chex chose this job, and loves it, because of her love for sea lions. Sea Lions have played a big part in her life.

Chex's Job Routine:
■ Chex gets at the zoo at 8:00 to make sure all the animals are healthy and ready for opening time at 9:00.
■ Chex takes out one of the friendly animals in the zoo [Parrot, Snake, Lemur, etc.] and walks around the zoo, letting the tourists hold or pet them.
■ Lunch Break!
■ Chex feeds the animals and tell tourists interesting facts about certain animals. She does this until the zoo closes; 8:00 at night.

Dream Job: Chex's dream job is to be a marine biologist; or the scientific study of organisms in the ocean. More specifically in this job, she wants to study sea lions. How they interact and survive in the ocean. The possibility of being able to discover something totally new. Chex Mix has dreamed of this job since she was a young bean, seeing Sea Lions for the first time. She works at the zoo during the summer to help pay for school. Chex has to take out loans because she doesn't have time to work over the school year.She is currently going to school at University of California San Diego/Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Steller.
I chose the name Steller due to the Steller Sea Lion. It is a Near Threatened species of Sea Lion, but is also the biggest species of Sea Lion. It is also the last name of a German naturalist and is similar to Stellar, relating to stars.

Stell is a female.

Stell is generally interested in males, however she has had relationships with other females so could be viewed as a Bisexual or Pansexual, but she doesn't refer to herself as either.


History;;
If Stell thought back to her childhood, she would probably say it was relatively normal. However, she doesn't remember much of her child years. Her father was a scientist and her mother was a coffee shop owner, a peculiar pair to Steller's standards. She never showed interest in her dads work at this time, but loved the coffee shop, the sweet tea, frothy hot chocolate and bitter coffee, the smells amazed her.

The only traumatic thing that pops to mind for Steller is when her dad brought home an experiment, it was a pair of glowing Goldfish, she kept them on her room as a nightlight and swiftly fell in love. The Glowing fish was Stell's first pet so when she found one of them floating dead, she didnt know what to do. But she refused to allow her dad to take her fish for biopsies at his lab.

The events have shaped into a rather opinionated young woman and to also have a strong disliking towards animals in laboratories. But is going to follow in her mothers footsteps and would like to take over the shop for her.

As a child, Steller's favourite color was pink, she loved paler shades which were almost white. Her favourite toy? It was a Red crab which she carried everywhere, causing it's color to fade to a pale pink shade, like her favourite color.

One of Stell's favourite memories is the smell of the coffee shop, she loved the sweet and bitter smells. Her favourite thing to do was sit on the counter with her crab and the tip pot as people came and went like a tide.
