Winners of the Kaffeine Kittens Artist Contest
---
Now, before I get to the juicy material, I just want to point out that this was extremely hard to judge. There were so many fantabulous entries (yes, I did just use the word fantabulous) to choose from! After picking my top four, my mind was torn between three other artists, all of which displayed very high levels of skill. But I did say that only five could make it, and so I chose my five:
---
5th Place: *Watermelon Love*
Entry of particular interest: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2017077
This was my favourite entry with heterochromia. The patches were also well blended into the rest of the fur and your overall technique was brilliant. Very well done.
Entitled to: 1 Entry

4th Place: ✈ Ͻ h o r u s
Entry of particular interest: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1999431
This entry was very well done indeed. The stripes were sympathetic to the nature of the long hair of the Kaffeine Kittens breeds and was blended in a way that was to my liking.
Entitled to: 1 Entry and One Random kitten (by me)
---
3rd Place: Tea-Kat
Entry of particular interest: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1997646
Now this entry was very impressive. With blending as soft as a kittens fur and stripes as sharp as a knife, I was very happy with this particular entry of yours. It's very beautiful and I hope to see more like them in the future.
Entitled to: 1 Entry and One Common Custom (by me)
---
2nd Place: ~Country~
Entry of particular interest: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2002002
There was a slight technical inaccuracy with this particular entry (which was never fully resolved). However the skill you displayed was enough for me to overlook this fact and focus of the level of detail you had put into this entry.
Simple, yet powerful, this was a perfect example of a colour-point kitten. I look forward to working alongside you in yet another adoptable.
Entitled to: 1 Entry and One Uncommon Custom (by me)
---
And finally...
1st Place: Sakura Kuromi
Entry of particular interest: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2023038
Despite only having one entry to go by, I was highly impressed with the level of detail you had put into this one entry. The tabby stripes were subtle and well blended into the coat. You also blended the amber into the white extremely well, something I always look for in an artist.
You also seem to have a good knowledge of cat colouration, as not many people seem to know about the amber coat colour. I was very pleased to see this in your entry, earning you some bonus credit in my books.
Entitled to: 1 Entry and One Rare Custom (by me)
---
Thank you to all who participated in this competition. Be on the look out for another competition in the future (we're bound to have another one some time, but not for at least another 2 months.
Don't forget that, if you haven't made it to an artist position, we're always looking for Guest Artists. It's tougher to get into, as I only have your galleries to go by, but there is a chance for you to stay on as a Permanent Artist if your work impresses me.
