I've decided to give this gorgeous Neko Kami the name of Illuminati. The pronunciation of this name is spoken as ill-OOM-EN-ah-tee. It is a name of Latin origin. One definition I found stated it is "people claiming to possess special enlightenment or knowledge of something." Another mentions an Enlightenment-era secret society founded to oppose superstition, prejudice, religious influence over public life, abuses of state power, and to support women's education and gender equality. I found these meanings interesting, though they had no influence in my naming decision. I chose this name for her for no super special reason. As I was browsing the forums earlier on, I was thinking of what I should name her. I saw this word somewhere and didn't really think anything of it. For some reason however, it stuck in my mind and kept creeping into my thoughts, particularly when trying to come up with her name. I looked at her and thought about it and I decided that I really liked the way it sounded. I think Illuminati fits this gorgeous girl quite well and so I gave this name to her. Illuminati's primary interest in life is understanding the world that she lives in. She is constantly absorbing ideas and images about the situations she is presented in her life. Using her intuition to process this information, she is usually extremely quick and accurate in her ability to size up a situation. This ability to intuitively understand people and situations puts Nadi at a distinct advantage in her life. She generally understands things quickly and with great depth. Accordingly, she is quite flexible and adapts well to a wide range of tasks. This makes her quite resourceful when solving problems. She is fairly decent at most anything that interests her. If Illuminati sets her mind to learning or doing something, anything, she will certainly put all her effort into getting it done and becoming good at the task.
Illuminati is full of ideas. There is rarely a time when you will see her idle because she always seems to be doing something. Her perceptive abilities cause her to see possibilities everywhere. Man, it's been forever since I've seen her..
I hope she's doing alright, wherever she is.

I bet she's causing a ruckus in Heaven, or driving folks crazy as a ghost.
She always did make jokes about haunting people when she died and
having a good laugh as their terrified, confused faces.

Jeez, I miss her so much..
We used to have so much fun together.
She understood me better than anyone else ever did.
If I needed something, anything, she was the one I could go to for help.
She always knew the right thing to do.
I've needed her advice a few times recently and she's just not here.

Today is the 4th of July, Independence Day is the USA
You know what that means...
Fireworks!
We're supposed to be going down to the lake tonight.
We go there every year.
They have the best fireworks!
We'll go out on the boat and go swimming in the afternoon.
After that, we'll go back on land to grill up some hot dogs.
Right as the sun goes down, back to the boat and out on the water!
We'll anchor with all the other boats and watch the fireworks from there.
I love fireworks, especially on the fourth.

I'm thinking about getting into painting.
I saw the most beautiful mural today.
It was on this half-wall that's down by the boardwalk.
It's a broken down wall; all that's left of some old forgotten building.
I was walking past it and these colors caught my eye.
They brought my attention over to this old wall I've never paid any mind to before.
And there it was, this glorious painting.
It was a view of the ocean's horizon at sunset.
The colors were so vivid.
The sky had all these different hues.
The most vibrant pinks, red, oranges, blues, purples.
The splashing of the deep blue waves was seen with the white foam at their tips.
A large gray-brown rocky boulder poked out between the waters, waves crashing into it.
There were a few little gray and white seagulls flying about as well.
The detail and color of this mural was just so amazing.
I want to be able to create something like that one day.
It was just the most wondrous thing.

Q: Well, Illuminati, how's your day been going?
A: Pretty good. It was raining, you know, but I like rain sometimes. Especially when it's a little warm, then it's good to dance in! You can dance in the sun, you know, but it's not quite the same as dancing in the rain.
Q: So, what is your favorite pastime?
A: I really love to bake, like cupcakes and such. You know, not many people know that about me. No one really asks though, so. *shrugs*
Q: Do you collect anything?
A: Oh, yes. I love to collect shells from the beach. A lot of the time, there's just broken bits out there. But if you look long enough, you can find a good amount of sea shells that are completely unharmed. I've got a pretty decent collection at the moment. And if you're lucky, you can find shark teeth out there too. I've got a few of those as well.
Q: Got a Role Model?
A: Yes, in fact, I do. Do you know who miss Rhonda Habersham is? I highly doubt you do. She was my Spanish teacher. God, I hated that class. As much as I disliked the class, I always did the work anyway and I walked away with an A. I didn't like learning Spanish and, quite honestly, I barely remember anything. How I got that grade is beyond me. But I loved my teacher. Habby was the best teacher I ever had. She was always so helpful and understanding. She made these cupcakes too that were so amazing, you have no idea. The food she made was just delicious. I could always go to Habersham if I needed something. She was incredibly helpful with anything I needed, always knowing exactly what I should do. I respected her and she was one of the very few teachers I had that gave me some respect in return. I truly admire her and aspire to be something like her one day.
Q: Tell me Nadi, what are your thoughts on love?
A: Forgive me for the potentially love response you'll get for this. Love.. Well, I believe in love, that it truly exists. It just really depends a lot on the specific individual. Some people run away from love due to fear of rejection or commitment, being haunted by past relationships or not realizing what it is. Some people are so desperate or eager to find love that they unconsciously look at everyone of the opposite gender as potential partners. That makes them too zealous to get into a relationship to fulfill their heart's desire. It blinds them to reality because they want to believe the search for the one is over. Meanwhile, some think that love is fake or it's not meant for them. Consequently, even when the right person is right in front of them, they fail to acknowledge that or to make a move. I've never been the type to look for love. However, there was one that changed my perspective and thoughts on love. Let's not talk about him, okay? Basically when you love someone, you just know it. It sounds too simple but I believe it's true. You have no doubts about how you feel though of course it depends on your judgement. Some are apt to overuse or misuse the word "love". I believe that to let love into your life, you have to focus on yourself first. Not in the sense of being narcissistic but you should have your own ambitions and dreams as well as self-confidence. You have to be patient, realistic, and not have high expectations such as expecting a fairy tale.
Q: Interesting. Anywhere you would like to travel?
A: I really would love to visit Europe and backpack around the country. I want to see the Eiffel Tower in France, Big Ben in England, the Colosseum in Italy. It seems like a wonderful place to visit to see the sights and have lots of fun. Great place for photography as well and I have a few friends that are into that. I think it'd be fun to take a shot at painting something of one of those places. I've recently decided to get into painting, you know.
Q: What are 'friends' to you?
A: Well, friends are those that you love. People that you're close to and those that you can count on. Friends are always there for you and know exactly how to cheer you up when you're down. Friends know about all your faults and deal with all your bull and they don't care, they still love you for you. Sometimes they have the same interests and mindset as you do, sometimes they don't. They are so much more than this and I don't really know of the correct words that would properly describe them but that's basically the gist of what friends are to me.
Q: What's one thing you believe everyone should do at least once in their lifetime?
A: Go out on the pier on a foggy morning and sit out there to watch the sun rise over the distant sea. Leave all distractions behind and let the crashing of the waves be the only sound to interrupt that peaceful perch.
Q: That sounds lovely.. Anyway, what's your favorite smell?
A: My favorite smell? Well that's an odd one.. Hmm.. It's a toss up between chocolate cupcakes fresh out of the oven and the salty smell of the ocean and the beach. I love them both. If I had to chose, I think I'd chose the cupcakes. Though that may be a bit curved because I am starving! Not to be rude but are we almost done? I'd love to go grab a bite to eat.
Q: Just about, this is the last question. Okay, Illuminati, what's your favorite show?
A: Oh, that's an easy one! Supernatural. I love that show. I watch it all the time. Man, they need to make those episodes faster. I'm almost completely caught up and then what will I have to watch!? I love Dean and Cas and Sam, and the car. You do not understand how much I crave that Impala. Now that is a car. She's a beauty, a '67 Chevy. Dude, I'd kill to have that car. Well..
