This is an artist contest for my adoptable! The creature is called a Dovanian Horned Equid and are from a tropical island in the South Pacific named Dovan. Below is a bit more information about their appearence (:
The compitition will end next week, September 9th, which is one week from today. There are 5 artist spots open and there are 4 guest artist spots open (: The top 3 best designs will be permanent artists, the 4th place and 2 honorable mentions will be granted guest artist spots that last up to 2 months (:

Honorable Mention:
(only 2, guest artist spot, 1 WL pet and 2 items each)
As a staff member, you will be able to make as many Equids that you want and can breed as many times as you want, but you have to leave some open for the costomers. Also, each staff member is allowed to put 2 people on the Whitelist (VIP), Guest Artists get only 1 since they are only temporary staff members. Each person on the Whitelist gets top priority when they post an order and are allowed to have as many Equids they want and can breed as many times they want, but they can only post a form three times a week to allow others a try at a Equid.

-You can make a total of 4 Equids, try to make both a male and female

Apperance:
The Equids are an odd species. They are a mixture of lizard, horse, ram (in males), armadillo, rhino, and a bit of cat. They are mostly equine with the body, head and legs of a horse, but their tails are of a lizard and can be used as a weapon if needed. Both genders have sharp fang-like saber teeth that are similar to a Sabertooth Tiger in ancient times, but males tend to have straighter fangs while the females have more curved ones. There are horns on both gender's noses, a large one with a smaller one behind it, but males have longer and sharper horns while the females have shorter and duller ones. Instead of a mane, the Equids have armor-like plates that are similar to an armadillo's, both genders have plates on the back of the neck down to their withers, but mature females have extra plates over their hips to help protect them from the males when they mate. Mature males grow thick curled horns on their heads that resemble ram's horns, they use these and their nose horns to fight for the right to mate and to stay in charge. The males are larger than the females, but the creature is rather big over all. An average female stands about 23-24 hands at the shoulder and can weigh around 2 tons (4,000 lbs) when fully mature. An average male stands about 25 hands at the shoulder and can weigh up to 2.5 tons (5,000 lbs) when fully mature. The equid can be a variaty of colors. They can be similar to natural horse colors like roan, palamino, buckskin, etc. Or they can be very odd colors like green or red, but they normally have rather dull coat colors to help with camoflauge even if they are unnatural colors like reds or blues. The armor plates are duller in color on females and brighter on males since it's the males that must attract the female's attention.
