►WHAT IS A BOBA TEA PUP? ::

I'm sure you folks know what a puppy is, so I'll just explain the boba tea part, hehe. Boba tea, aka "bubble tea", is a yummy tea drink developed in tea shops of Taiwan that can be made with fruit or milk, and sometimes both! Although there is a wide variety of flavours available, every boba tea drink has one thing in common: chewy tapioca pearls!

Now, what do you get when you mix boba tea with a puppy? Why, a Boba Tea Pup, of course!

BTPs are miniature puppies, about as tall as the average glass cup, with stomachs and tails made of their favorite kind of boba tea. Like the delectable drink, they are sweet as can be! Their eye and ear colors always match the color of their tea, and they always carry a drinking straw on hand. All BTPs have tapioca pearls in their bellies and tails and the pearls are almost always a dark brown/black color; other than that, their designs are arbitrary. For some reason, their tails tend to stay afloat and the tapioca pearls never fall out. As expected, their diet consists of tea and tapioca pearls.

I was excited to make her girly :3 except suddenly as I was drawing her she was all like 'nope, I'm a tomboy.'

Kalea is a Hawaiian name meaning joy and happiness.
I thought it fit considering the tropical flavor of the boba pup, as well as the reflection of the meaning. The name is in hopes that Kalea is going to be and will always be a happy and joyful character C:

Hello Everyone! My name is Luna-puppy, but feel free to call me Lu-Lu, Lune, or Luna.
I've been a proud member of this site since May 28, 2010. Yes, I have had my ins and outs,
but I've always come back to the place where I began my journey of character collecting...
I know, you hear the word "collector", and you wonder if your little boy will be treated well
by a person who has 45 characters already. The answer is that he couldn't be in better hands.
Each of my characters has not only a unique personality, but a story behind them and who
they are. They are showered with art as often as possible, and I one day hope to have the
money to get real life plushies of all my characters. Until that day though, Hokeo will be
spoiled with poems, stories and as much art as I can possible order of him~

It may not be as obvious as he hopes it is, but Hokeo is a boy. Many a times, he has been
mistaken for a girl, but he has never let that bring down his upbeat and bubbly spirit. There is a
part of him that doesn't care for the "gender title"... He's more for his name. Simple, little Hokeo.

A Tropical Name for a Tropical Boy
"Hokeo" is Hawaiian for "baby". However, it wasn't his small stature that earned him this name. He would be my first Boba pup, earning a cherished spot in my heart. He would also be my only "permant puppy" chracater, AKA the baby of the family... Plus, what else could you cherish more than your first "born" child?

This positive little pup will gleefully explore life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He loves to think, he loves to talk and he is a great collector of facts. He tends to be his happiest when hopping from one subject to another, but that does not stop him from absorbing information like a sponge absorbs water. Hokeo has the amazing ability to mix with people from all walks of life; a priceless asset as it gives him an extraordinarily wide insight into the way people think and what motivates others. He tends to be a very popular sight around town; people find him to be an amusing and light-hearted companion ready to join in social activities of all sorts. This little guy is unlikely to be possessive because, to enjoy life to the fullest, Hokeo must remain true to himself and as free as the winds allow him to be.
