How she became blind: Aysu had always felt uncomfortable around her own kind, and had few friends. Her brother Altair had always been there for her, but a deaf brother wasn't a very good listener, now was he? She was rarely invited out to do anything and frequently, she would not accept.
One day however, she decided to come out of her shell, to be her own person. Two friends invited her out for a wagon ride, something everyone enjoyed every year. Aysu had clambered onto the wagon and closed her eyes, letting the wind whip through her fur. She was in cloud nine, paying no mind to the hoots and yells of her friends.
Suddenly, she flew forward. The wagon collided brutally with a tree and debris flew over-head. Aysu crashed violently onto the ground, her face hitting the hard-packed dirt.
The rest of that memory was a blur of faces, though she couldn't see them well. Soon she only heard their voices, felt their touch. She finally awoke, noise surrounding her and voices pounding into her ears. She saw nothing and blinked, mistaking it for a head-rush and the temporary blindness that went with. She blinked again, and again, repeating the action over and over, the voices growing silent. She turned from side to side, utterly confused; why couldn't she see? She stretched out a paw, feeling for someone. She felt the soft fur of her brother and received a nuzzle. Without her sight, she could see none of the words of comfort that her brother tried to send. Aysu hunkered down, shrinking from his touch and closing her eyes, though it made no difference. She cried that day, sobs racking her body.
Aysu stood by her brother, feeling his warmth and allowing him to guide them to the campfire. She trusted her brother with her life, but lately, after the accident he had grown distant. It was hard; the only way they could communicate was by Altair tracing letters and words onto her paw, which hardly allowed emotion and depth.
She felt Altair sit down and sat beside him, feeling the warmth of the fire whip at her face. Oh how she longed to see the flicking tendrils of raw power. She had never been fascinated with fire, but she missed anything and everything about sight. The emotions she saw in faces and the beauty of the world. She missed seeing her brother blush at the lightest conversation and the stars that shone in the velvet night sky. She missed it. With a melancholy smile, she nuzzled her face into Altair's fur and trembled, in fear and sadness too. The great sadness that went with losing something you loved.

How she became blind: Avia was born seeing. Her life was wonderful and the colors and beauty of the world shone brightly and she loved it. BUt she was a child of the darkness so that is where she must reside. She spent years locked away in the darkness and when she finally could bear her separation from the beauty of the world no longer, the shocking brightness of the sun turned her blind. She is very introverted now as she trusts no one to guide her. She is locked in her own mind and tormented by the fact that what she loved most had destroyed her.

How she became blind: well,not much is known about this lumi. The people in the village say that she was not born blind but became blind herself. It is said that as a young lumi, her mother died, and she really loved her mother. They used to sing very happy songs together, and her mother taught her all she needed to live, saying that all she needs is to be one with nature. Now, she would go up to the highes point of the hill every night and sing to the moon. There she would let her ghostly but beautiful voice float through the night sky as if she were a nightingale and the people gave her that name. Her voice often drifted people to sleep as if it were a lullaby and they would have the sweetest dreams. However, Nightingale would always go up to the moon and cry to it to the point that her tears had flooded up her vision and made her blind. It is theorised that if someone could actually stop her from crying, showing her some of the love that her mother gave her, she would see again. But no one could get near her because she dashes away through the darkness at a single sound.

Cinder breathed. She looked around. Lots of Lumis surrounded her. She was bored. So she looked up. Up into the sky. Then she tried to move. She couldn't! She looked around and asked for help. But no one stopped to help Cinder. She cried out when she couldn't move any part of her body. It started to snow. Then it turned into a blizzard. Cinder was forced to open her eyes for a long time. Suddenly she blinked and she could move. When she opened her eyes it was all black. She gasped! The snow had taken her sight. She tried to glare at the sky. Her hopes got down and left.
