Well, Navi, got an explanation?

Get away from me, peasantry!

Thought so. Navi is grumpy because he believes he's high royalty, and this instantly dampens his mood whenever someone else tries to talk to him.

Story.

Parading the golden halls of a palace, the young ruler stops to talk to no-one. His servants bow to him, and he flicks his head contemptuously, crown bouncing coldly on his head. The gilded floors glitter beneath his paws, soft from an easy life. He sniffs the air once, analysing the scent.

"Too sweet," he commands, and three minions race to right it, apologising profusely.

He comes across a grand mirror, and shares a grin with himself before moving on. His pawsteps are perfectly aligned, his head in perfect position, perfect, perfect, perfect.

He sweeps into a great hall, and rows and rows of Lumies bow to him, their wisps glowing. His own is pristinely blue, clear as crystal. The symbol of his affluence, his wonderful crown atop his head, draws their attention. He smirks.

"My subjects," he begins. "Today is a momentous occasion, the day I finally take my rightful place as..." The floor turns to liquid gold beneath his feet.

"As...!" He slips and falls-

With a gasp, the prince awakes in his room. He rises slowly, listening to the birds chirp away. His crownless head slumps for a moment, as do the corners of his mouth. But soon they twist into a signature grin. He reaches to the shiny metal on his bedside.

And the normal Lumi crowns himself as king once more.

Regalis is often grumpy because his crown tends to fall off his head. Recently, he had been placing it on an angle, but he doesn't think he looks as... noble and regal when it's placed that way. He's always been grumpy because he's allergic to mushrooms [ this shall be mentioned later on ^^ ], but lately, he looks like grumpy cat. You can't blame him. Doesn't everyone love looking - and being - superior?

"Happy Birthday, Regalis!"
Regalis blinked emotionlessly and sighed, turning away from his family. They were so very annoying sometimes. Peasants.
"Yes, yes. Where is my present? And the cake. Don't forget that."
Viola, Regalis' bestie [ Viola has declared this herself. Regalis has no friends. He has faithful servants ], presented him with a rather small box, wrapped neatly. Regalis huffed and took it with a small nod. He laid it on the floor and glanced up, seeing 5 pairs of eyes glimmering happily. Regalis tore the wrapping paper off savagely. His mother looked hurt, so she was probably the one who wrapped it. Regalis would never forget this moment, despite his horrible memory. It was the most beautiful thing in the world. The one item in the whole world which was better than himself. Regalis was brought back into reality when Viola coughed awkwardly. Regalis blinked irritably.
"Put it on my head, Viola."
Viola nodded and bounded over, nearly stepping on the treasured crown. Regalis glared at his friend as he bowed his head and the crown was placed upon his head. He felt better already. So, from then on, Regalis has always kept that crown atop him head. The only time he is seen without his loved one is when it falls off. Then he gets hissy and all superior and stuff.

Regalis loved mushrooms. They were his one weakness. Every since he was young, he had loved them. He even liked them raw. He liked them cooked he liked them dipped in tomato sauce and he liked them with anything. Mother always cooked him mushrooms, and Regalis was happy.
One day, Regalis was with Viola. This is what the latter would call gossiping, but Regalis wasn't saying anything at all. Regalis wondered when they would have lunch. The one thing Regalis looked forward to when he woke up was breakfast, because there would be mushrooms. After breakfast he would look forward to lunch because there were mushrooms. Then after lunch, he'd look forward to dinner because, once again, mushrooms would be served for him. Then he would go to bed and dream of mushrooms, and he'd wake up. Then it would happen all over again. He quite liked this cycle.

Regalis' ears twitched as he heard a familiar call. This nearly caused his crown to fall. Again. Regalis padded over to the cave in which they lived and sat on the hard ground. Viola followed, still chattering. Viola didn't really like mushrooms. Don't like mushrooms = Regalis' enemy. Regalis beamed at the plate that was set in front of him, and inhaled the lovely scent of mushrooms. He sighed and dug in.
After lunch, Regalis didn't feel so good. He felt dizzy, and rashes were appearing on his beautiful body. Regalis lay down against the cool wall with an irritated sigh.
"Hey Regalis! Regalis!" Viola shouted as she bounded towards him. Regalis twitched noticeably.
"Regalis! Are you OK? Do you need any help do you-"
Regalis cut out the annoying voice and concentrated on feeling better.

It was dinner time, and Regalis hadn't moved one inch. His family were concerned.
Regalis dragged himself to the plate where his beloved mushrooms sat. He tried to eat, but he was in too much pain.
"Oh dear." his mother said. "We better take you to the doctors, mm?"
Regalis grunted.

So, as his mother had promised, he was taken to the doctors. The peasants were doing all sorts of weird stuff to him. Like taking blood tests. His royal blood was not made to be seen.
Dr Lumi entered into the room with a grim look on him face. Regalis' mother looked worried. Regalis looked very annoyed.
"From the blood sample we took." the doctor paused. "It seems that your son is allergic to mushrooms.
Regalis blinked and twitched a bit. Regalis' mother blinked and twitched a bit.
"WWWHAT?"

Regalis is a being that is much more superior then anything else in this world. Well, that's what he thinks. You see, he believes that anyone he meets is trash and peasantry. Some people think that something's wrong with his head, because he doesn't even have a drop of royal blood in him. Who cares? Not Regalis. Those peasants can do what they want.
Regalis can be very rude sometimes. It can get on people's nerve as he can also get cocky. Regalis is also annoyingly stubborn at times, and will refuse to back down, but probably will if you threaten to take his crown, Actually, scratch that. That'll just make him angrier and more annoying.

There are times when Regalis can be *cough* nice. It when he's talking to mushrooms or talking to a cute animal. He's always been a sucker for those sparkly eyes.

Nicknames: Please, just call him Dev. He thinks his full name seems too formal, and he is typically only called Deverell on formal occasions or when he's in trouble. In fact, he hates everything formal and he didn't want me to put his name in that font in the first place.

Why does he look so grumpy?: Dev looks grumpy because... he is. He didn't sleep very well, and that tends to just throw off his entire day. If you come across Dev on one of these days (they happen WAY too often), remember to stay out of his way.

Yeah, you'd better watch out when I'm in a bad mood!

Personality: Dev tends to be stuck up and lazy, and he has an unfortunate habit of commanding people around. He can get upset when he doesn't get his way, and he throws tantrums. However, although he is not easily offended, he does have a sensitive side. If he can relax enough to listen to someone telling him about their feelings, he becomes more gentle and helpful to that specific person for the rest of the day. He tries to avoid all formal events, mostly because his 'prissy' royal relatives will be there and he doesn't like being fussed over or being called 'cute'. Actually, Dev just hates formal events, period. Supposedly, they make him 'itchy'.

What? They do! All taht fancy schmancy la-dee-da and... ugh.

Ah yes, my servant. I find she has a fitting name for one of such petty ranking. Enough of her though, let's move on to a more important topic-- me.

Totally not a MLP reference nope nope.

It's PRINCE Blueblood to you peasants! Preferably Prince Charles Henry Nathaniel Blueblood III, but if you insist, Prince Blueblood will do.

Prince Blueblood has lived a long life of comfort. Gourmet cooks serve his every meal, servants tend to him 24/7, and guards protect from everything down to the tiniest spider. Maids keep everything in his castle perfect perfect perfect, so even the tiniest dust bunny out of place can cause Blueblood to throw a temper tantrum. Being surrounded in an environment where perfect is the bare minimum requirement makes him very hard to please.

Grumpy? Excuse me? That portrait is most certainly not my grumpy face. But you've ruined my good mood by saying such a thing. Peasants such as yourself should consider themselves blessed they get to see the face of royalty at all.

Those incompetent servants didn't know what they were doing when they measured my noble head! It was ordered a size too small, and my parents refused to have another made. How lucky my servants were that I didn't throw them out for the dogs.

Oh, I know what you're thinking. You think I'm a coward. Ha! On the contrary, you've never seen a Lumirett braver than Prince Blueblood. A Lumirett as important as me must simply take extra precautions against those who oppose the throne. That spider could easily have been sent by an assassin!
