Username: Wolf Shadowstalker
PTD's name: Persephone
I chose the name because she reminded me of Hades's (the Greek god of the Underworld) wife, Persephone. There was this one story where she helped a man try to free his lover from the Underworld (AKA bring her back from the dead), and the fact that this PTD's power is bringing back the dead and that she's related to Valentines day reminded me of the tale. ^_^
PTD's gender: Female
PTD's personality:
Persephone is wise and compassionate. She likes to keep to herself most of the time in her home near the woods, and being somewhat of a medicine-maker, collects local herb for potions of various uses. Despite her somewhat isolated nature, any travelers passing by will be invited in for tea and friendly conversation. Quite by accident, she was actually told by past travelers of their many troubles and gave them the best advice she could, and eventually word was passed around of her wisdom. From then on, many people have come to her for advice on money troubles, love troubles, personal problems, and occasionally, for her potions work. She absolutely refuses to make any potion for a harmful cause, such as poisons or love potions, but will gladly hand out medicines for no cost, though she accepts payment from those who insist on it and can afford the loss. Without her knowledge, someone had whispered of her power to raise the dead. The customers that visit her for these powers come under the cover at night, often wracked with grief. Though Persephone sympathizes with these people, she dislikes going against the laws of nature, and often does her best to comfort them while gently refusing their requests. Every once in a while though, a story strikes her heart enough to make her want to put aside her values for the other's happiness. She considers the decision very carefully when this happens, and discreetly makes sure that the deceased had died unnoticed by anyone but the client, and did not die of old age, chronic disease, or large fatal or paralyzing wounds before agreeing. After completing the task, she swears secrecy from her clients, not wanting to give empty hopes to those who want the same.
