Haven. A haven is "A place of safety and refuge", and it means "The Ocean" in Swedish, my native tongue. The ocean is my refuge, everytime I go to the beach, all my worries fade away and I feel free. The sand on my feet warms me and the water soothes me, much like the design of this welkon does. Which is why I would name her Haven.

Haven is a beautiful and mysterious welkan. Her fur and coat almost glitter likes the waves of the ocean, and yet buried deep inside is a treasure trove of hidden sercets and discovery. Haven is basically 5% explored; the other 95% has yet to be seen. She is soft, gentle, soothing and calming, like the steady roll of the waves as they beat upon the shore, or the warm sand beneath your feet, sinking between your toes. But she can snap, much like the ocean can at its worst and become ferocious, cruel, cold and harsh, much like the giant wall of water crashing onto you as its drawn to the shore. But that side of her will only appear if you've angered her greatly; in other words it is rare to see her that way. She is wise beyond her years, knowing many secrets of the world around her, silently listening to the chit chatter and the socialization of others. She is one of the most loyal welkon you'll ever meet; she'll stay with you to the end, even at the cost of her own life. Haven will do whatever she can to protect those she loves and cares about. She can be shy; unlike the forwards momentum of the ocean, she is the small fish at first, watching from afar and darting away when you get too close.

▪ Describe how this Whelkon reminds you of the Sea ▪
How does she not remind me of the sea?! The way her markings almost seem to move; some of the them roll like the waves, the others sway like the fern beneath. And the red markings dance, much like the kelp does as it floats with the waves. I can see the scene her markings and colors ae trying to tell me... the sun sparkling down from above, through the surface of the water, shining down in long golden-bluish rays of pure light. The fish darting around their homes, to and fro and the eels hiding in their peepholes, I can see the ferns and fan coral dancing and swaying, and the sea anenomes with their clownfish. Then the fish disappear, darting quickly into invisibilty. A shark comes into the scene, eyeing the reef coldly. The fish watch on in quiet terror, not wanting to be the one who becomes a meal this day. The shark eventually leaves, and the fish creep slowly back out of their hiding places. Something covers some of the light, something dark redish brown. The kelp floats one towards shore, along with the rolling waves. As the waves rise they become more greenish blue than blue in color, streaks of light shining through. All this I see from her colors and markings. I can hear the roll of the waves, feel the warm sun on my skin and the sand beneath my feet. I can taste the salty water in my mouth. I can see the seagulls soar in the sky and try to steal others food. I can see the little V's that appear in the sand, from the sandcrabs digging into the beach as the water declines back. I see it all. And now I long for my sanctuary, my place of peace. And that is how she reminds me of the sea. My Haven.

Still deciding who wins the main Reef Whelkon though I've made this one while I make my decision. I'll update this soon with all the needed information once I decide whom gets the runner up. ;3 You can however post here even while I'm making my decision on the design and so forth. <3
