@gazoonia - nope! more after the biblical prophet. his brother is elijah, and that's the name of a biblical prohpet as well. so sorta sticking with the family name. although mainly cause i really like the name ezekiel.
@kylo - yay for the return of the lost tablet pen! i'm losing mine constantly so i know the struggle.

since i've had a bit of free time these past few days, and i really enjoy coding, i thought i'd offer to code up a few forms and such for my fellow viscet members. i'll do tryout forms, sigs, character threads, whatever. no payments necessary, i just want to do something to give back to the community. if you're interested, pm me and i can show you examples and we can work out the details.

So I held a 'mystery egg' contest and had some negative feedback on the judging part so I'm curious. If I do another, I'd base it off an animal, and would judge based off of funny animal gifs ((Which ever one makes me laugh the hardest would win. )). My question is, should I announce what kind of animal its based off of? Or keep it a secret?

What is your favorite kind of contest so far?

Mine? I really like the impress mes... odd I know, but they're my fave. Along with art comps for reasons >.>
Buuut... I like the simple naming comps and gifs, which is why I wanted to try out a few simple ones, as there are a lot of impress me's going on at the moment.

@griff i was in the contest and i didn't really mind that i didn't win, but i was a bit taken aback when i knew that you wanted water gifs. i specifically avoided water gifs because i knew they'd be really cliche to use for a blue egg, and i think that's why everyone got so miffed--because they had the same thought process. i wouldn't give away what things are based on because of that, though. if everyone knew to use a certain gif type, then it wouldn't be easy for you to judge at all. make it challenging! c:

on my end i'm also self advertising bc idc
i'm doing writing / offsite form building for any amount of dA points! i can get both done relatively fast and i have no problems changing stuff up for y'all or catering to what you want. i'm just trying to work up the 800 pts i need for an uncommon custom since i don't have much use for any rare-trait customs :p goodluck to everyone else trying to work up points though!

griff, i'd certainly love to weigh in on this if I may. I'm not disappointed that I didn't win — it was a fun contest! I think what should be different next time is the wording. You had said "i want to see one gif that reminds you of this egg" and I just feel like people (including myself) didn't take into consideration that you wanted to know what we thought this guy was based off of. A lot of people went for creativity or originality instead of thinking that it was supposed to be based off of something specific? so maybe don't give the animal away, just let everyone know hey! this is based off of something specific but it's your job to guess it! c: i hope that makes sense, and I hope I helped!
