when i saw the title, i swore i was dreaming, it didn't seem real.

i've been apart of the community for a little more than a year now, and i've loved every minute of it.
i'm angry i never discovered this species earlier!

It's really moving to hear how much plumerians have meant to people, and again I really appreciate all this community has done for me. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd feel comfortable giving over ownership -- they were a lot of fun while they lasted, but I think it's really time for plumerians to close. I'd rather end on a good note and cut them off cleanly than go through the struggle of trying to find a successor when things might not work out, if that makes sense.

I'd also like to remind those of you upset about this that the fanclub is still remaining open, and you can still use your plumerians even if new ones aren't being made; you can find ships/develop them/etc; the only difference is that they can't have kids.

EDIT: And yes, growths can still happen! I just may be a bit slow to approve them.

I'm going out for a couple hours, but I'll be back to answer questions later.

This broke my heart honestly.
I loved this species and the great community.
I'm terribly sad this is coming to an end and that you are leaving Char, you did a great job with this species and i'm sure many many people will miss you here on CS.

I am grateful to have been apart of plumies in its prime and stayed long enough to see it's end. So many people have been connected by this species and so many friends and connections have been made through this.
Once again thank you so much Char for creating these and bringing so many people together. I wish you had the motivation to keep this going for another few years but we all have a life we must get back to and unfortunately we cannot keep track of everything especially keeping up with things online.

Thank you Char, I wish you a happy and full life and I'm sure all of us understand this <33

While it is unfortunate, I understand why Char is shutting them down completely and not handing them over to someone else. They're probably super important to them, and while everyone else may want them to have a new owner, it'd probably be easier on both the community and Char to just close them.
That being said, I'm overwhelmingly grateful to have found Plumies when I did. I met a lot of great people and made good friends. It's unfortunate to see them close, but I'll live haha

gee i'm literally hitting myself, i can't believe . . . all those plumies that i could have put more effort in and now they're going away :c

I wasn't really active with the community itself, but I did hope that one day, maybe I could get another plumie. Atleast my girl had a kid with a wonderful mate. <3
It is sad, strange, and surreal to see them go. It feels unreal. It feels sudden, just seeing one of the most popular species just stop (JBds anyone?). But I respect your decision and hope you the best of luck in the future. <3
As sudden and saddening as it is, all good things must come to an end. I just did not think plumies would be one of them. </3

even though I never managed to win my own plumerian, I'm mega sad to see this species close up and NOT only because I won't have the chance to own my own. It's sad to see things end, no matter what it is, and with a community this large and close, it's honestly heartbreaking. I'm pretty active with another closed species and I never really thought about that one coming to an end until I saw this, and it's just something people should, at least in the back of their heads, prepare for because you just never know what's going to happen. with that being said, I wish you luck Char, and I hope this will relieve a lot of your stresses.
