Shhh--step quietly! You've just tiptoed into a special forest, one that holds sweet butterfly-eared creatures. They're not fond of loud noises due to their excellent hearing, so try not to make too much noise!


It turns out they're interested in humans. Would you like to try your hand at adopting one?

❥ First come, first serve.
❥ Chōmimi aren't too fond of growing up with their littermates if they're adopted from the wild, so each person can only adopt 1 Chōmimi from each litter here.
❥ You must use the form and fill it out correctly to adopted a Chōmimi! There will be a special codeword, so make sure you don't forget it!
❥ Edited adoption forms will not be accepted. If you forgot the codeword or filled it out incorrectly, please repost your form. If someone beats you to it, sorry!
❥ Chōmimi will be described but not shown before adoption--they're elusive creatures that will only show themselves after they're chosen! For example, an all-white Chōmimi could be described like this It seems to have grown straight out of snow itself. Once all of the Chōmimi for a litter have been adopted, they'll be revealed.
❥ Don't be too upset if you miss a litter. Even though most Chōmimi travel in litters or packs, sometimes they'll wander on their own into the thread. They'll clearly be labeled stray by me in the post, so look out! If you see a stray Chōmimi, fill out the form below, leaving the number area blank and putting in STRAY as the codeword!
❥ After I confirm and give you the code for your Chōmimi, you can add it to the collaborative archive with the name and gender of your choosing.

Currently, only four types of Chōmimi have been spotted: the common NOMA type, the uncommon TSUBA, the rare FUWA variety, and the namesake of my assistant, the unknown INA.

NOMA [common]

The normal and "default" Chōmimi. With big ears and bigger hearts, they sometimes approach humans even without me there to help! Don't be surprised if one pops up in the thread without a litter wanting a home. Extremely curious and intelligent, they need plenty of outside time and like summer the best.

SASA [common]

Only slightly less common than NOMA Chōmimi, they took a bit longer to discover because unlike other Chōmimi, they don't chirp or make noises--these Chōmimi are like whispers themselves, spread throughout the forest. Although quiet, they've now seen how lovely life with humans can be, and are more willing to be out in the open. Of course, that doesn't make them any louder--watch where you step!

TSUBA [uncommon]

The only way to tell TSUBA from NOMA Chōmimi is based on their small, pixie-like wings. Playful and endearing, TSUBA Chōmimi love windy days--they'll often let themselves be carried away by the wind! Even though Chōmimi are known for their butterfly-like ears, TSUBA wings are soft and feathery. I wonder if one with big, glorious wings exists?

FUWA [rare]

Fluffier than their NOMA Chōmimi friends while boasting a higher body temperature, they do their best when winter rolls around. Quieter and more reserved, these Chōmimi approach humans less, wary of their body heat. Although they have a standoffish nature, their inherent curiosity sometimes gets the best of these soft Chōmimi and they'll find a human companion.

The only info on the INA breed comes from my assistant, Inari (pictured below):

Boasting nine fantastic tails, INA seem to be incredibly intelligent, understanding human speech and body language. The first Chōmimi I came across, I assumed it to be the default. But so far, Inari is the only INA I've come across. He won't say anything about why he's different, I wonder what will make him open up to me...

Chōmimi don't have strict genders. They're able to breed with each other regardless of the gender you give them, if any! They're technically genderless, but don't mind if you want to give them a gender. They find human nature fascinating!
Two Chōmimi adopted from different litters can breed together, however, two Chōmimi from the same litter won't breed with each other. Even though feral Chōmimi technically aren't related--as they're born from dewdrops and nectar--their litter or packmates are too familiar for them to want to breed with. To breed two Chōmimi, you must buy a honey pouch. Its sweet aroma makes Chōmimi go wild!
However, if two Chōmimi are direct siblings from a prior breeding session, they won't breed with each other, no matter how many honey pouches you give them!
If two people breed their Chōmimi, they must delegate what Chōmimi go where and figure out how they want to divide them. Unwanted Chōmimi can be released where they may pop back into the thread, looking for someone else, or they can be gifted to other users. Another option is to give them to me for safekeeping until someone wants them!
When breeding customs, certain special traits won't be inherited by the children, since the children had never tasted any of the nectar!
Forms for breeding must be posted on the BREEDING THREAD. Then the parents will be placed here, showing what nests are taken and what items are used!

Chōmimi are attracted to flowers. If you trade me certain things, you'll obtain flowers, which can be traded back to me to help attract more Chōmimi!
I only accept wishlist pets in exchange for flowers, but since my wishlist is small, there are other ways you can get flowers--I'll detail it below!

Chōmimi LOVE generous humans, so if you gift someone a pet (or several!) the flowers you get will be worth half the listed number above! Just PM me and show me the trade, and you'll get the flowers! If it seems suspicious, I have a right to deny the flowers (I hope this doesn't happen!)

Cute art of Chōmimi can also get you flowers! Prices will vary depending on the effort (not the skill!) of the piece, and how well the Chōmimi feel your passion! All art pieces are worth at least 80 flowers.

-> honey pouch (100 flowers): allows two Chōmimi of any gender to breed. They'll produce 1-3 Chōmimi children. [STOCK: unlimited]
-> XL honey pouch (200 flowers): allows two Chōmimi of any gender to breed. With this big bag, they'll have 4-6 Chōmimi children. [STOCK: 0]
-> jar of mist (50 flowers): will add 1 Chōmimi to a litter (only one can be used per breeding session). the offspring produced with this may or may not resemble the parents! [STOCK: 14]
-> sparkling pot of nectar and tree sap (400 flowers): this rare item allows you to dream up your own Chōmimi! it's hard to come by and rarely in stock, so if you want a custom Chōmimi, check here frequently! [STOCK: 1]
-> suspicious leaf (100 flowers): allows you to change the species of your Chōmimi to one of an equal or lesser rarity. Two of these combined with a sparkling pot of nectar and tree sap will get you a custom Chōmimi whose breed is rare.[STOCK: 3]
