тhe nineteen-twienties had been a promise of economic growth and success as the decade grew on,nicknamed the "Roaring twenties" or "The golden age of America".In result to the country winning a war the economy had peaked and tranquility had seemed to finally come at last.An age of political and social change had come,rebirth.Jazz music had been a popular genre,women had been given the right to vote,and more consumer goods had been manufactured. The decade had seemed peaceful right up until 1929 where the "Wall Street Crash of 1929" had taken place which had paved the road for the next decade "The Dirty Thirties" where everything had seemed to fall apart starting with the decline in economy.
The nineteen-thirties had been a rather depressing era obtaining the nickname "The Great Depression" as it's commonly known by.The effect it had on the country was devastating. Unemployment had reached its high making it hard to live on a steady income and imports were limited due to high prices.On top of this a long drought had occurred which had been called "The Dustbowl" due to its constant duststorms that occurred,especially in southern states.This made it hard to grow crops and live on a farm since crops were hard to grow and prices were high due to limited supply although not many could afford much.Many farmers had to sell their farm and leave which wasn't worth much due to to weather circumstances.Homeless people had increased greatly from unsteady income and some had resorted to "Hoovervilles".
Still though,even though life was not as glamorous as before people still held on through the Great Depression and eventually after the decade and the drought things had gradually gotten better.
