so I got myself a few new characters!

First is Aero, design and art by Demzee


Second is Tripp, design by Medd

What is your inspiration for giving a character its name? (personality, history, design, species, etc.)
some characters is the design, some their history, family, some names I just make up and call it a day. Most of my characters names have something to do with their looks or history tho, only a select few dont.

How do you decide on a name for a character?
Some names will just pop up in my head, but I tend to just look at a word that I feel works and look for a name with that meaning or in a different language..I am not all that picky with names. some of my characters have different unique names but others have one like blubber butt...


Do any of your characters have jobs? How do they feel about them?
Namor, Thy Kingdom Come, and Damien do!
Namor is a therapy dog who goes to hospitals, retirement homes, and other places to comfort those who need it. He loves his job, and enjoys showing others that they can do stuff even if they are disabled or different. King is a police dog who specialized in narcotic detection and apprehension. King has a love hate relationship with his job. He loves is but at times it can make him a little depressed after dealing with certain criminals or people. Damien has two jobs, one as his local library and the other at a bookstore.

What is your favorite character ship? Do you ship characters based on looks or personality or both? After forming a ship, which is more important to you? Art or roleplay or writing? All of the above?
I think my favorite ship is between my two boys Ryker and Lorenzo <3 Those two are adorable together and I just want to hug them.

I am not going to lie, I do look at looks first but I do take personality into thought. I have a few characters that would not do well with certain traits or personalities..Since all my ships are within my own characters I don't get the chance to roleplay with others but I image if I match one of my guys to someone elses I would have to put it in equal placement with the other things.


When writing about your characters, do you develop a story, and base their personality WITHIN their story, or create a personality, and then write a world and story around that?
I tend to write their personality out after I finish developing some sort of story around the character. I have some trouble keeping the actual character in well I guess character during the story if the personality is written first. Although there are a few characters I own that I actually wrote their personality first..but its a rare thing.

I've gotten quite a bit of art of Ryolier due to him being a legacy ahzenai (transferred to the ARPG group from the original CS adoptable thread), and have been working on a piece of Rakurai recently too. (should be studying instead but meh)

This is the WIP image of Rakurai being his shocking (literally) self.

I feel really proud of this one ouo I'm liking how the lines turned out, (plus they didn't take long to do) so I may be using this lining style from now on for my future arts.

Also, just curious, but would anyone be interested in art pieces like the above (but without the background)? They would likely cost around 800-1500 points ($8-$15 usd) though, due to the complexity of the shading and lighting (shading and lighting in the image not complete yet)

I've decided that once again its time for me to leave DA and CS.
So, I will be trading almost all of my characters and if anyone see's some pets they want from me, just send me a trade.
