Rainstar shook his head disappointingly "I am very disappointed in you Otterpaw. You and Snowpaw." He didn't bother to look at the kills they have made, he continued "You both are young apprentices, I might have let it slide if you were older. But Otterpaw, instead of finding a warrior to accompany you, you went and got Snowpaw! You know how much you could have gotten hurt if something was around? You both lack the experience and training. Yes you might have caught something and returned safely but did you two consider the dangers?" It was clear he was angry at the two apprentices. "What do you think your mentors will have to say?" He added "Grab your kill and head back to camp, don't think of trying anything funny as I will be right behind you." Not bothering letting them speak.

Dustfur Dipped her head. "I wouldn't mind at all. I was just about to head out myself." Dustfur replied, then started to wonder who should go with her. "Is there anyone you would like me to take?" Dustfur asked before spotting Toadnose who was seamed to not be doing much. "If I have to take cats with me, I guess I will have to ask Toadnose." Dustfur thought with sigh. "No matter who ends up going, I hope we don't stay out long... if we do, tonight is going to be a long night for me."

Otterpaw's tail curled around one of his hind legs as he kept his gaze on Rainstar. Rainstar's words stung, but did his best to try not to let it show, but was failing. Otterpaw started to lower his gaze, thinking about what Rainstar said. "I wouldn't have let Snowpaw get hurt.... but he's right. If there was really a fox out there, I probably wouldn't have been able to do anything, or keep it from Snowpaw. Why is he so mad about it now though? We got back safely, even if I did hurt my paw with a clumsy mistake." Otterpaw thought before picking up the squirrel as he was told. "No worries about me trying anything funny, we had just wanted to help the clan, and show what we could do." Otterpaw thought before some of Rainstar's words repeated in his mind. "What do you think your mentors will have to say?" "I'm more worried about Toadnose, come to think of it Dustfur might have a few things to say about it as well..." Otterpaw thought as he looked his paws, starting to pad towards camp.

snowpaw flinched, "sorry rainstar." she murmured, lowering her ears. she began to drag the rabbit towards the freshkill pile, her tail hanging low. so what if he's leader? he's not our mentor. the young shecat hissed in her head, flicking the tip of her tail in annoyance. "we were only helping the clan." she reminded the other apprentice, who seemed to be more sad and worried than annoyed and flicking his flank with her quivering tail.

Once they were in camp and the apprentices had placed their kill on the fresh kill pile he opened his mouth to speak "You two are confined to the apprentice's den for the evening. Your mentors will be by later for other punishments if they so wish." he instructed. He was still angry they had left camp without any cat's knowing, though their intentions were good he will let their mentors know they should go a little easy on them. Once he saw them walk away he turned and looked for Lionheart, he knew Sageclaw would still be asleep so he would talk to the tom later. Then he spotted Whitekit outside of the nursery, maybe the large tom will have to talk to Dawnleaf, to see if it Whitekit is ready for warrior training...

Dewwhisker█Molly 16Moons█No crush/mate█Adderfang

The molly shook her head "Nope! I don't mind sitting anywhere. And the vole will work just fine!" Though she planned on only taking a few bites anyways. She was not particularly fond of vole, as it tasted weird to her so she will suck it up and endure a few bites. She scanned the camp and saw that Sageclaw was moving from a nice shaded spot in camp "How about over there?" she flicked her tail that way "Looks like they will be moving soon anyways."

The cream and white tabby tom smiled at that and dipped his head to the she cat before stalking off towards the warrior's den. As he dipped in he paused just a second and remembered he had not trained Otterpaw today. He shrugged it off, maybe he would like a day off to himself.. he thought before finding his nest. It was getting stale but he did not mind, not wanting to bother to replace it, he curled up and soon fell asleep, waiting for when the moon started to rise.

Toadnose frowned at Rainstar and the two apprentices as they padded into camp. He knew something was wrong, and by the way Otterpaw was acting it looked like he had gotten into trouble again. Toadnose let out a long breath wondering what it was this time. His eyes widened a little seeing the prey Otterpaw and Snowpaw had. Toadnose got to his paws, and padded towards Otterpaw. "Otterpaw!" Toadnose called out, not hiding the fact that he sounded angry.

Otterpaw dropped the squirrel on the fresh kill pile, ignoring the confused and questioning look he got from Dustfur. Otterpaw looked at Snowpaw nodded his head. "Yeah I know." He mumbled before looking up at Rainstar as the leader spoke. He didn't like the idea of being stuck in the apprentices den. What made it worse was that he had to wait longer since Sageclaw was sleeping. "Sageclaw... I hope he isn't going to be to upset with me." Otterpaw thought worriedly before starting to pad towards the apprentices den. "Sorry Snowoaw, I tried to keep you out of trouble the best I could." He whispered to Smowpaw flicking her side with his tail. Otterpaw stopped and lowered his head hearing Toadnose. "Oh great..."

snowpaw lowered her head, "it wasn't your fault!" she wailed quietly, before flicking her ear as the warrior spoke. "i'll be in the apprentices den when you're ready, and if you find me anywhere else make sure to tell me off i guess." she blinked sympathetically at the young tom, before padding quickly off to the den, keeping her ears pricked.

adderfang nodded, "seems like he's getting up now, c'mon. we'll take it before any other cat." the ginger tom bounded over to the shade and dropped the vole on the soft ground, licking his lips. vole was his favorite piece of prey, to eat and to catch. he waited patiently for the shecat to come.

Dewwhisker had watched as Adderfang bounded to the shady spot and smiled as she made her way to him. When she sat next to him she spotted Rainstar with Otterpaw and Snowpaw "Look at that! Remind you of some cats we know?" she chuckled quietly "Looks like they wanted to go out on their own." she watched the leader scold them and send them to the apprentice den "At least they caught something..." she meowed quietly. Memories of when she would get into trouble flashed through her mind.

The light colored tom was now curled up in his stale nest, sleeping soundly. He did not need to wait long till sleep came to him, though he was looking forward to this evening. As he slept he stirred quietly occasionally but seemed to not make a sound.

Dustfur nodded her head, though was a bit distracted by Rainstar, Snowpaw and Otterpaw."Alright Cheetahclaw, I will get right on it." Dustfur replied turning and padding away. Her ears twitched slightly as she heard Otteroaw and Toadnose speaking. Dustfur folded back her ears. What was she to do now? Toadnose was now busy, and Dewwhisker and Adderfang had just sat down to eat. Dustfur decided to just go out and hunt by herself. She quickly slipped out of camp and padded out into the territory.

Otterpaw gave Smowpaw a small smile, though it lacked happiness. "Thanks Snowpaw." He meowed quitely before facing Toadnose. "Hello Toadnose, great to see you too!" Otterpaw reptiled to Toadnose, trying to act somewhat cheery. "Drop the act Otteroaw and tell me what happened this time." Toadnose hissed before sitting down in front of Otterpaw. Otterpaw folded back his ears once more and started to tell the story, but saying it was his idea to leave camp instead of Snowpaw.

poppyfern settled down to rest her paws. She had been working all day to help find otterpaw and snowpaw that her paw pads were worn out. She licked them gently as they begin to bleed a little. those two had better have a good reason for going back out alone she thought to herself. Poppyfern rested her head on her paws until she saw a beatle scurrying by. Slowly she licked it up and crunched it between her teeth. None of the other cats liked to eat beatles that she knew of but it reminded her of old times as a kit.
