username. My name is » Asterous « (now crutchie_), but feel free to call me aster. I'm a freshmen in high school this year with big dreams of becoming a veterinarian or/and an author. I love to create in all ways possible, writing or reading or drawing. I love to write and i have written competitively in the past, going to state finals one year! I have many favourite books; the scorpio races, yellow fever, and the maze runner series among many. my favorite movies are the maze runner trilogy, any and all superhero related movies, and pretty much anything else. I'll watch anything :) I'm actually an old adopter here with only one character, Keagon.
why do you want this character?
I am always on the lookout for new characters to add to my collection, and this girl just seemed to call out at me for some reason. Her creepy design and intriguing occupation as a voodoo priestess really gave me a lot of room to toy around with different backstory ideas. The eye of Horus symbol on her eye provoked the idea of Egyptian Demi-God and I just ran with it! I'm also trying to make my character family more diverse and I think this girl would do that very nicely.
where would you use it? what for?
I would mainly do drawings and writings about her not online, but would try and commission people to draw her amazing design! Her stories would be more in-depth about her relationship with her parents, childhood stories, stuff like that.

personality.
Amunet, despite being an immortal Egyptian demigod, is actually quite nice to be around. She likes to meet and be around strangers and meet then more if possible, but she decides very quickly whether she likes you are not. If she does like you, she is usually like a mother figure to all of her acquaintances (she claims that having friends is a waste of time). Net will try and understand problems and help with them if she can as fast as possible. She always feels bad if there's nothing she can do to help. It gives her the feeling that she didn't prove herself worthy of being that person's friend and will do something big to try and win back their friendship. It usually ends in something on fire or a zombie dog. It just never works out well. Amunet is very curious about many things, whether it be when something was built or a new person in town. She'll usually investigate further until she is satisfied with her information. This usually causes a lot of sleep deprivation for Net. Amunet also doesn't judge anyone for anything. She believes that what a person decides to do with their life doesn't affect her life at all and she just moves on. Now if she likes you and not your life choices, she'll bother you until the day you die! And then she'll bother you in the afterlife!
Though there are many things to like about Net, there is also the negative things that aren't as appreciated. Sometimes she'll get into this mood and become even more cold and brooding than usual. She doesn't mean to do it, she just goes through a crisis. See, she remembers that all of her acquaintances are mortal. They will die and she won't. It just reminds her that you shouldn't get too attached to anyone, even if you feel strongly for them. Feeling weakens you. Net is also known to be quite the cautious type. She will only approach new people if they "feel" right to her. When she does meet someone new, she goes into what her acquaintances call "The over-protective parent frenzy". It's like the one over-protective mother who wants to know every little detail about her daughter's boyfriend before they go to. Only Net is the mom and the person in question is the boyfriend. She also has a wonderful sense of sarcasm and overall disinterest in people's feelings. If you had a nickel for every time she'd made someone cry, you'd be able to buy the moon.

dislikes. cats, water, gunshots and loud noises, certain people, love, violence, her father.
history.
The day was quiet. Well, as quiet as a cafè in New Orleans usually is, that is. The building was warm and inviting up until she walked in the door. A black hooded cloak lay upon her shoulders, her eyes seemed to drive themselves into the people around her, and her black hair seemed to blend in with the cloak she was wearing. She sat down at the bar in the center of the cafè and took down her hood, revealing the odd tattoo on the right side of her face. The bar tender smiled as she saw one of her regulars to the joint. Even if said regular was a creepy voodoo women who scared everyone in New Orleans. But it was part of her job to be respectful to every one who walked through the doors. "evening dear." The woman said in her heavily accented voice, lacing her fingers together and setting them up on the table top. "Hello Amunet. The usual?" she offered as she grabbed a glass. Amunet held up her hand up, signalling to the tender that she did not. "Actually.." The mysterious woman started, curving her body into a more relaxed position.
The bar-tender felt a bit uneasy. Amunet flicked her devilish heterochoromic eyes to the nervous womans eyes. "I want to tell you a story....."
It was a quiet night in the streets of New Orleans besides one lone house in the countryside. A young mother sat in a candlelight room cradling her newborn daughter. The young girl was not.. as you say.. normal. She looked like a wolf pup besides her human-like anatomy. Various white markings adorned her body. The child's father stood warily in the doorway, his canine ears were pricked as he watched over his small family. The mother looked up at her mate, a small smile laced on her lips. "What shall we name her, Anubis?" she asked softly. Anubis's snout twitched and he shifted his amber eyes to his daughter. "She shall be called Amunet. And whether or not my brothers and sisters agree with my decision, she will be protected." he said in his rough voice, walking over his wife and crouching beside her to see his child better. At that moment the two eyes opened, blinking a few times and then revealing the blood red pupil and the misty gray pupil to the world. The mother turned to her mate, a sudden look of dread overtook her features. "How shall she walk among humans? People will sure notice her." She asked, running her fingers along her daughters ear. Amunet squealed at this action, flailing her tiny claws at the threat, making her father smile. He stood up and walked to a nearby dresser drawer and opened it, pulling out a black cloak. The mother smiled out of confusion at her lover. "What is that?" she asked as Anubis walked back to her. "This will keep her safe." he assured her. The young couple looked upon the baby in wonder as the night drug on. When morning came, the jackal headed man was gone. And the young mother had the task of raising the forsaken daughter of death.
The years rolled on and Amunet grew into a young woman with high ambition, wanting to become a healer like her mother. She would watch in curiosity and wonderment as her mother chanted and waved her hands in a fashion that, to most, would seem like the girl was mental. But the ways of voodoo were a strange art that was not for all to witness. Her mother taught young Amunet the trade and was pleasantly surprised at how much she learned in a short amount of time. When the half-goddess was twenty-three years of age, her told her of her father and the powers over humanity she possessed. She was essentially a reaper, taking souls and leading them down to the underworld in order to be judged alongside her father. Amunet was mortified at first by the new information, but with her mother's careful guidance and coaxing, she learned to use her devilish ability for good, not evil. She went to college for two years only and gave it up to take care of her mother, who'd grown ill.
The first time Amunet saw her father was on a lonely night in July. It was hot, humid, and she sat by her mother's bedside. The only noise was the uneven breathing of a dying women and the annoying buzzing of mosquitoes outside the dirty cabin windows. Her fur held a bronze tint as the light from the dying candle illuminated it, her paw placed protectivly over her parent's. She didn't even notice he'd walked into the room until she heard a deep voice boom. "My daughter.. how you've grown." Immediately she turned on the voice's owner, startled and not in any mood for visitors. Her anger and hostility soon gave way into confusion and shock as she saw that the intruder looked like her. A skinny snout, jet black fur, and golden tattoos ran over the exposed skin. "Father." "Yes my little Amunet."
Amunet stared at him in disbelief. "Why are you here?" She asked, feeling her stomach drop in her stomach as she answered her own question before her father did. "You're here for her.. aren't you?" She whispered and her father nodded, a mournful look in his eye. "I am. She is human, unlike us, she doesn't live forever." He said quietly, putting a comforting hand on the shaken girl's shoulder. She flinched at his touch but didn't make any attempt to move away. She looked down as the floor suddenly seemed very interesting, but her father tilted her face back towards him, amber eyes now very somber. "Listen my daughter." He said sternly, making sure she was listening. "You have the power of death at your paws and the power to visit the underworld when you want. You aren't seeing her for the last time." He growled to her. Amunet shook her head away and glanced at the floor before looking back up. Her father was gone and upon inspection, her mother's pulse had ceased.
At this point the bartender was very interested in the story, propping her head on her elbows as Amunet finished her story. "Does that mean.. you are.." She began, but the voodoo woman across from her held up a hand. "It is only a story dear." Amunet said with a smile, getting out of her seat and pulling her hood over her head. "You decide whether you believe it or not. But what you've heard today is my past and is not to be repeated to any soul. Understood?" The bartender, seeing the ferocity in the lady's voice nodded her head. The woman nodded, satisfied, and exited the building. The light feeling in the small Louisiana café returned as the woman left, and the bartender was left alone in her thoughts.
