what ways would you deal with a situation?; I always make sure to listen to both sides (if there is both sides) and think of the best way to deal with it. I will then explain what has happened and what they did wrong so it won't happen again and give out the proper warnings and such. I will make sure to always ask questions if I am unsure of anything. I will make sure things are fair and there is no confusion. I will try to keep things fair(can't always make things happen) and like I said already, if I have questions I will make sure to pm the owner to get in a second opinion on any situations. I also make sure I am open minded. I do not want to seem harsh as I hate sounding harsh and all I want to do is make sure everybody understands what not to do next time and how to avoid it or not let it happen.
previous moderating experience; I have been a mod for a few roleplays, I have even ran my own roleplays. I used to be a mod for ggs, and I currently getting my own species up c:

what ways would you deal with a situation?; i don't let bias get in the way with handling an ordeal and treat both sides with the same amount of respect. i get straight to the point and try to solve the situation to the best of my ability. if someone is treating someone else rudely, spamming, or breaking a rule, i will calmly ask them to stop through PM; however, if several people are breaking a rule i would make an announcement. i try to settle things the easy and less stressful way; i like to approach as friendly as possible while still getting my point across, though i can become more firm (not aggressive) if someone chooses not to follow what i say. being rude or even verbally harassing a user is not the way to go imo, because it just leads to more uncalled for drama.
previous moderating experience; i have previous experience of owning adoptable species over the past couple of years, including doughnuters and shiba tea pups. im the co-founder of http://pom-gets-wifi.deviantart.com/ (a fangroup of the game pom gets wifi) where im in charge of accepting requests/submissions and answering any questions, and im a contributor for http://flea-market.deviantart.com/, (an adoptable group) where im in charge of accepting submissions and putting art in the right folders. im also a mod for DCAY/Draw the Character Above You.

what ways would you deal with a situation?; It truly depends on the specific situation. In most cases, it is most important to look at evidence / information about the situation before making a call about anything; while making sure to remain unbaised, calm, and approachable. As a mod I believe the job is not only to enforce rules, but to be someone a community / group can trust and confide in should there be any problem that arises.
In situations involving a 'one sided' sort of ordeal, such as someone posting something rude, breaking a rule, ect [something I feel not directly involving another person] I would pm the person. I feel most people are more relaxed and don't feel as threatened when things are more private, and not out on an open thread where everyone can see. In a case like one of these, I'd let the person know (kindly) why I'm pm'ing them, and to ask them to remove/change whatever had occurred. If it involves more than one person, I'd look at everything, take it all into consideration and make a judgement. If everything is not concrete or I am not completely unsure, I would ask another moderator their opinion (especially if whatever the situation is involves more than one person) before doing anything. Any big situations or serious ones I would pm you about.

Out of all those specifics, I try my best to cater to the community. I try to be approachable, and calm as possible: being reasonable and just is very important, and I try to promote these in any moderation needed situations. If someone does something wrong, I try my best to help them fix the problem instead of handing out warnings carelessly, (unless a warning is truly warranted, such as repeated offenses or directly breaking rules) since you cannot learn from your mistakes unless you know what you did wrong.

previous moderating experience; currently I work as a mod for ferrulls, a mod / archivist for juymaras, and a mod/artist for rainbow paint wolves.
I've actually moderated a lot of other places, but those are the most active currently: I've owned two species over my time on CS, one being co-owned with a retired CS mod TheCalicoTabby, so I am well versed in how to moderate from seeing their awesome mod skills. u v u
