Favorite small holiday; Tanabata
Tanabata (also known as Star festival, ไธƒๅค•) is a small Japanese holiday that means "Evening of the seventh". It is derived from the Chinese Qixi Festival, and it celebrates the meeting of two stars known as Orihame and Hikoboshi. But they can also be referred to by Vega and Altair. The legend that goes along with this, is that the Milky way separates these two star-lovers, and they are only allowed to meet once out of a year on the seveneth day of the seventh lunar month. The date of this event varies by your location and country. But out of the gregorian calendar, it starts on July seventh. It may also be held various days out of August as well.

It was introduced to Japan by Empress Kลken in 755. The festival quickly gained popularity and attention among the general public. Eventually, it even became mixed with various bon (another japanese tradition) traditions. The customs of the festival varied by your country and region at the time. Generally, the population as a whole would wish for better sewing, better craftsmanship, and better handwriting. However, in modern-time, Bon is now held on August fifteenth and is now recognized as a separate holiday.

In modern day, it is celebrated with writing and forms of poetry wishes. You would then write down your wishes on tanzaku (small paper), and hang them on bamboo and other decorations. You would then set them afloat on a river or burn them after the festival at midnight. This sort of is similar to custom paper ships and candles on rivers during Obon.

And lastly, I'd like to mention the traditional Tanabata song: " The bamboo leaves rustle, shaking away in the eaves. The stars twinkle
on the gold and silver grains of sand. The five-colour paper strips I have already written. The stars twinkle, they watch us from heaven.
"

    Name; Tochi

    Gender; Male

    Favorite small holiday;
    Tochi's favorite small holiday is sweetest day. It may sound unfamiliar, but Tochi knows this holiday very well, and treats it as the best day of all. Not only do his fondest memories come from Sweetest day, but he finds the best joy in being kind and making others feel special by being sweet, which is what this day is all about.
    Sweetest day originated back In 1920 and was created by Herbert Birch Kingston, and is celebrated on the 3rd Saturday of October. This day celebrates being a kind soul to those who are orphaned, sick, or simply feeling down. Tochi truly admires not only this small day for its huge impact on anothers life, but for how bold it is. It truly motivates people to do good to others and it is quite surprising that not many people have heard of this day.
    Tochi learned about such a day back when he was 8. It wasn't necessarily his best day, and at the time he didn't even know it existed. He was feeling pretty down himself, and walked home quite depressed from a boring, uneventful day. It wasn't the bullying that caused him this sadness, no; it was simply day in which once again, he wasn't noticed nor cared for, and quite literally pushed around. However, this all changed when he entered his house, in which his mother met him at the door with a small cake, a flower, the whispering words of "Happy Sweetest day." After that, he never ceased to celebrate this day, and cherishes every moment of every kind action. Every Sweetest day since then he always bought flowers for his classmates, mother, father, and quite literally everyone he saw, to make them feel as special as he did walking through that door on his first Sweetest day.
    " Regardless of it's origins, the idea of the day is to take the time to show love to people in need or those who are special to us who we wouldn't normally give special attention to."
    -HolidaySmart.com

    How do they include the family in their unusual holiday cheer?
    There is no question that Tochi takes every opportunity to include his family In this holiday. In fact, he treats family the best of all, and goes beyond expectation to smother them in appreciation on this special day. Some of his kids don't understand the purpose quite yet and are confused when he adorns them with lovely jewelry or a new toy, while some take full part in the kindness of Sweetest day. Whichever the case, Tochi will take advantage of every opportunity to appreciate his family. One of the things he does to include his family on this holiday is to take them all out to buy flowers, and then walk the streets giving them to random pedestrians. Tochi enjoys each smile he receives on this special day and warms up inside like a microwave every time someone thanks him for his gift. But it doesn't stop there. After they treat strangers to gifts, they return to the flower shop, and then go one to buy balloons for kinds in the hospital. They visit every room and tie a balloon to the bedside, along with a small teddybear for the kids. They then drive to the Nursing Home, where they do their best to help the elderly in their time of need. And when the day is over, Tochi brings home one last gift for his whole family- a huge cake for them all to enjoy together.
    Aside from bringing his family on kindness expeditions, he also includes them by encouraging each member of the family to do something for one of their friends. However Tochi spends the time they spend going out with a friend by giving his lovely wife flowers and charming her with love.

    Favorite weird/unknown holiday;
    Ask a stupid question day!
    Tochi simply adores this holidays silliness since the moment he discovered it. It is full of quirky questions that make him laugh, and smiles that simply radiate throughout the neighborhood! Though he considered no question to be a stupid one, he still finds this holiday enjoyable and takes part in trying to find the stupidest question to ask pedestrians, whether it be if they are alive or if they are a JBD.
    Tochi often finds the most enjoyment in the questions he recieves rather than asks, as it prompts him to have to think of an answer for such a question. He does his best to make the answer as stupid as the question rather than saying it seriously, which led to him and his family to start the tradition known as "The Questioning."
    "The Questioning" is a series of stupid questions that are asked around the table at dinner time. Each bean goes around asking the bean next to them a stupid question, in which they must answer as fast as possible. If they can't think of a good (stupid) answer that actually makes sense, then they lose and are out until the next round. The questions get continually harder and stupider, and the winner is the remaining bean and is crowned "The Questioneer" the rest of the night.
    Another thing that Tochi enjoys doing on Stupid Question Day is set up a commission stand with the kids for people to ask them bad questions. Imagine this- a small wooden stand big enough for 2 beans to sit inside, with the words "Ask us bad questionz" painted messily in yellow. The stand is set up around noon, and then the kids take turns manning the stand until lunch time. It is by far one of Tochi's favorite things to do, and he has many funny memories from Stupid Question Day, all of which he cherishes fondly.

    Personality;

    Caring-Charismatic-Romantic-Poetic-Faithful-submissive

    Tochi is a caring, Charismatic individual who is more focused on how amazing you are rather than receiving compliments about himself. He insists you look in the mirror and ponder over how wonderful you are and will flatter you with compliments, especially when it comes to his wife Kura. He tends to be overly-poetic and can make the wrong impressions on a lady, leading him to have to embarrasingly explain it was just a kind compliment rather than an invite into love. Tochi can be a bit oblivious to the things he says, but he does his best to make up for the mistakes he has made and redeem himself.
    With his Romantic demeanor comes the pride of a father, and he does infact brag about his kids. Though he doesn't go into extreme detail, as he tries to pace himself from saying too much, he will insist his family is wonderful and even go as far as comparing, though after he realizes he is being a bit rude he will apologize sincerely and probably invite the other to dinner with the family.
    Even with all the mistakes Tochi makes, he still remains extremely faithful to his family, never sees any other beans as more than friends, and will do anything to make himself seem like a good father and husband. He can be a bit submissive when it comes to this, especially around friends that he wants to keep, which leads to his friends easily taking advantage of his need to please. However he barely notices this and will continue his quest to help until his muscles ache from running around all day.
    Luckily, Tochi has a very good talent for pulling in the best choices for friends, and he is a very popular individual around his hometown. With his open, accepting arms and cheerful smile Tochi has pulled himself up the local chain and claimed himself a spot as one of the best friends a bean could have.

    Relationships;

    Kura-
    The sweetest wife
    Tochi loves his wife Kura more than words can tell. Smitten by her beauty and charm, everyday is another chapter in a perfect romance novel to Tochi. He is often found staring at her, still stunned even years after their marriage that Kura and him are together, shocked that he managed to say the right words and do the right things. He loves her with all of his heart and takes pride in showing her this every day, making it his job to swoon her and remind her why they are together. Even if he slips up and says something he shouldn't have, he still makes an effort to show Kura that she made the right choice choosing him as a mate.
    Tochi can be protective of Kura if something is amiss nearby and will often stand in front of her if he hears any danger. He would easily take a bullet for her and doesn't mind putting himself in danger as long as Kura gets away. So long as Kura is happy, Tochi is happy, and that is how he wants to stay.

    Satsuki-
    As his lovely daughter, Tochi loves Satsuki to bits and pieces and is quite protective of her. He tends to hesitate when allowing her do be independent and do risky things that are part of growing up (as any good father would) and really cherishes the time he gets to spend with Satsuki. He sometimes treats her like a baby, and even if he wants to see Satsuki grow up, she is still daddies little girl in his heart.

    Daichi-
    Since Daichi and Tochi are very close, Tochi tends to be even more protective over Daichi! He understands Daichi's timidness and tries to counter it with good things, helping Daichi feel comfortable in whatever situation he is in. Tochi can sometimes make things worse however, and in his frantic attempts to be helpful it might shield Daichi from the good that he needed to see. He can relate to his daydreaming, as sometimes he does this himself and both can be very distracted. Nonetheless Tochi does his best to assure Daichi is happy, and loves to take him places and have fun with him.

    Fuyuki-
    Tochi truly adores Fuyuki's talent in the arts and nutures the want for Fuyuki to be like him. He gives loads of praise and really wants to make Fuyuki to feel special about his art, and will even help him with certain crafts, which they can proudly display together tonthe family. With their share of appreciation for the arts, though different subjects, Tochi and Fuyuki always have something to talk about.

    Chara-
    Tochi really loves his youngest daughter and really wants to make the right impression on her. He wants Chara to know how much he cares for her so that when she grows up she will know she always has a dad to rely on. Tochi tries hard to make sure that he does his part in making sure Chara grows up to know that she has a supportive, loving family on her side and has even introduced her to the art of poetry in hopes of getting closer to her and allowing them to see eye to eye.

    Odoroki-
    Much like Chara, Odoroki holds a special place in Tochi's heart. He cares deeply about his youngest son, and wants to show him the way of the family, often taking him and his sister on little trips of family bonding and even special events such as the art show or robot fighting to help them discover what they wanna do, or atleast help them to get a headstart in their passion. Tochi secretly hopes Odoroki will grow up to appreciate the arts like his father and maybe even partake in his fathers poetry.

    Kylie-
    Though the small, hotheaded bean has her troubles, Tochi doesn't let it go unnoticed that he still loves her grumpy attitude to bits and finds her simply hilarious. Though Kylie may not find Tochi very entertaining, Tochi will still play along and give Kylie that sense of authority she doesn't really get with other beans. She doesn't take their friendship for granted, and Tochi is happy that she accepted him and is friendly to him. Most of the time.

    Dawnette-
    Tochi is often left in awe that the things Dawnette can do with the drums. He has really helped her get over her stage fright by coming to private showing of her solos. Tochi is very impressed and often wants to try the drums himself, which often leads to a laughing fit when he makes a pretty bad performance. He is also very envious of her pizzaria and often takes his family to it multiple times a week, until they are fed up with pizza and beg him to stop, Which he finds simply hilarious (and often leads to them all laughing about it.)

    Kristoff-
    If there is something that Tochi cannot understand, it is how Kristoff can make such creatures with his bare hands. Tochi is often left wondering how Kristoff makes his animatronics so quickly and easily, and will probably never get how he does it. Nevertheless he still loves all the jokes and smiles that are passed around whenever he and his family visit Kris's workshop, and Kristoff lets the kids name the newest animatronic additions.

    Braxton-
    Both being fathers of big families, Braxton and Tochi have a lot in common and often have what they call "old man conversations." They spend hours on end passing stories and laughing at silly things they have done in the past, and while Tochi is still relatively young he can relate to everything they talk about and loves Braxton's charming and warm company. They are a dynamic duo, one that never fights nor bickers, but simply smile and share a good, hearty laugh.

    Pomelo-
    Tochi sometimes wonders if him and Pomelo are related! They share very similar colors which can only be separated by the grey and white on Tochi. Sometimes they fantasize about what life would be like if they were brother and sister, the adventures they would have and the trouble they would get into. Tochi loves to daydream with Pom and they both can spend entire days roleplaying silly ordeals and charing ideas on future scenarios.

    Cora-
    Tochi admires Cora and her family. She took in 4 kids, and even has two of her own! With such a bug family Tochi doesn't even know how she takes care of them all; but she does, and Tochi is extremely impressed and envious of her strength and kindness when it comes to her kids. Sometimes they arrange playdates for the family, and allow the smaller ones to see each other and talk. Tochi hopes that their kids will grow to appreciate and rely on one another.

    Reya-
    Tochi adores going to visit the twins Reya and Fe. Each one is extremely fun to be around, and Tochi feels that he can really return to a child-like state when he is around them. Reya is his go-to girl for adventures and Pirates, and has even made himself a Pinatรก suit so he can be part of her crew!

    Tape-
    Tochi and Tape don't get along very well as compared to the rest of the family. They seem to clash when making decisions and deciding on things. Tochi makes quite the effort to give Tape a chance again and again, but I think the one thing they can both agree on is that they don't get along. Nevertheless Tochi really wants Tape and him to be friends and always forgives him, hoping that Tape will forget all of Tochi's mistakes as well.

    Fe-
    Much like her sister, Tochi loves Fe like a daughter and really enjoys spending time with her. Whenever he is in the mood to make something sweet, he can count on Fe to be there so they can bake some goodies! He loves whatever they come up with and while he isn't the best when it comes to baked goods and deserts, he still gives it his all and hopes that whatever he makes comes out edible.

    Merle-
    Tochi doesn't know a lot about Merle Dixon, but from what he does know, Merle sounds like a rad JBD. Archery is a super cool hobby/sport that Tochi hopes Merle can teach him one day! They have seen each other before, but not for long, and unfortunately Tochi didn't get to socialize with Merle as much as he wanted. But that doesn't stop Tochi from trying, and he hopes that one day the two can set aside some time o get to know each other!

    Jayne-
    Though Tochi and Jayne aren't very close, the old beans company is extremely gentle and open when they do see each other. They talk alot about things that others don't understand, and even when separated they always know where to pick up after not seeing each other for a while. Tochi really loves Jayne's charm and wisdom and hopes that it rubs off on him someday.

    Gallifrey-
    Tochi really admires Gallifrey and his work with animals. He is constantly asking questions about Gallifrey's experience with them, and will even go to the zoo with the kids to see Gallifrey at work! Something about Gallifrey's job really makes Tochi appreciate all that Gallifrey does with his animals. Each time Tochi visits, he always asks about a mew animal, and beings home stories and pictures to show the family!

    Camio-
    Tochi is a bit Gentler with Camio. He knows that Camio may be frightened of him at times,and Tochi is always prepared for anything. This does not discourage him from being friends with Camio, and he does his best to include him in activities! Tochi is very open around Camio and loves to make him smile.

    Queso-
    Though Queso scared Tochi at first, eventually they became good guy friends and hing out a lot. They have their differences, and Tochi can respect that, as it makes Queso far more enjoyable! As they say, opposites attract. Queso and Tochi have been friends since high school, and before they settled down they always got into trouble and had tons of fun together. Even as they grow older they still find time to cause mischief!

    Tali-
    Tochi really loves going to Tali's bakery and seeing her! She really makes the best baked goods and Tochi really nourishes their friendship, as she was the one to open up to him first. They are like two peas in a pod, and always know what they wanna do when they are together. Sometimes Tochi even surprises her with his own baked goods, though... they aren't anything compared to master of baking, Tali!

UPDATE;; July | 20 | 2020

|| I've officially left this site. To those who built me up, who encouraged me, who offered me company and roleplayed with me despite my rather juvenile behavior, and who joined me in OC competitions, I want to thank you! This site introduced me to things that would mold and impact my life forever, and would help me find my dream career and grow myself as a person. I may have moved on from CS, but I will never forget my roots, nor will I forget the sheer happiness this site brought and the amazing people I've had the incredible pleasure of meeting. Thank you all so much for helping me to get to where I am today. <3 ||

If you happen to see this, you may find me at @Birds.For.Brains on Instagram, or @Wrenkenstein on DA!

Small update: If you are applying with the intention to transfer this bean to another species, I would like to request that you refrain from entering, as we're trying to give people a chance to win one last JBD or two to keep as JBDs. Thank you!
