My computer won't let me use oekaki anymore because it says it requires high or very high standards and I have no idea how to change that in my computer settings... help...?

You could use online-image-editor and click 'wizards' after uploading your picture. They click transparency and then click the background you want to get rid of.

Not that I know of. I've tried removing/erasing the background where it shows as transparent but it didn't work for me. Not sure if it does for other people.

Its because it is not colored anymore and you need color in it to use lock alpha.
