Hope's instincts took over and in a flash the SandWing was pinned to the ground. "Who are you?" She hissed as she let a little venom form around her teeth to look menacing.

I sped through the water of a small, empty bay, doing laps and leaving the water nothing but bubbles. I stop after a little over five minutes or so, and gently swam over to the shore to flop on the sand and sunbathe.

Name: Mesquite

Appearance: Mesquite is pure sandwing, however many have commented that his muzzle shape is similar to that of a Nightwings, with a prominent "beak". His tail can curl tightly into a screwbean shape at will, thus limiting his barbs strike and accuracy because of how curly it has become from years of curling it. He has a black forked tongue. His crest is longer than your average sandwings and when he's surprised or in his "defense" mode, his crest stands stiffer and he unleashes a crocodile-like hiss. When he's not, his crest rests and kind of flops over a bit. However, because of how long they are, they are more prone to being tattered easily. He is a yellowish, creamy white color, with uneven stripes of dull brown. The inside of him is strangely (save for his tongue) a green-bean green. His eyes are purely beady black. His claws are dull from walking on hot sand and thus aren't as useful for fighting.
Personality traits: Defensive, submissive, doesn't talk much, annoying, crybaby (to be RP'ed out)
Powers/Abilities: Venomous barbed tail that rattles like a rattlesnakes, able to breath fire.
Backstory: Mesquite was born to an exile mother and a traitorous father that betrayed his Tribe to be with Mirage (mother). Jackrabbit (father) had an untimely death, however. He was hunting when he was caught by Sandwing guards and questioned before being killed for his disloyal ways. His mother escaped with him into a secluded place in the desert, before being caught by Sandwing guards as well and killed on sight. She was far from Mesquite however so he wasn't found, and that's how he grew up. After a while, he escaped into Possibility when he was two. Because he wasn't Tribe-born, he never properly learned how to use his barb and how to avoid accidently stabbing people with it and therefore is rather careless with it.
Other: He's a thief. When he attacks, he uses "traditional" fighting moves. He often forgets he has fire or a barbed tail. His wing was injured from an aggressive vendor, so he flies awkwardly.

(Oh, I thought his name was alright. I found it on a WOF generator so I thought it was okay. Also, there is a Jelly which (in my understanding) is a human food unless it has something to do with water/sea/WOF. I also know that, but it just corresponded to my character so I just thought I would add that in.. I can take it off though, I guess. Just thought I would make my character a little different.)

(Jelly as in Jellyfish. I was asking mainly because it would be odd to name a dragon after a food that they wouldn't know about.)

(Ohh. That makes sense. I thought they meant Jelly as in the human food, my mistake. I just really wanted the name Nacho because it would be consistent with his appearance and I don't really want to change his appearance.)
