UseI think that I will be able to use this lovely little puppy for many things, such as story writing,
art, and of course, just developing a lovely character that I'll be able to use forever. I have
two dogs that are mates, and I think that since they will never have a puppy of their own,
they could adopt him and love him as a son. Over time, I may give him another sibling,
and add to his family even more!
NameGiyn PawHopper (jeen paw-hop-per)
GenderMale
SpeciesDog, mongrel/mixed blood
BackgroundWhen Giyn was born, he was in the forest. It was damp and wet, no place for a puppy to have
been born. A gunshot went off in the distance. Their ears perked up at the sound. Another
gunshot went off. His mother and father ran, his mom with him in her strong grip. Another
gunshot. This one seemed closer. Giyn yelped. His parents broke to a run, then a sprint, as the
hunter came closer to them. Giyn squirmed around. His mother was supposed to be licking him
and keeping him warm. Another shot. The ground just behind his mother's feet blew up in dust.
His mother ran even harder, barely keeping up with her mate, who was faster to begin with. They
would have switched out, but there wasn't time. The hunter was in plain sight now, firing up a storm.
His dad yelped. He had been hit in his back leg, and he couldn't run anymore. Giyn wiggled his way
out of her grip. He ran as best he could over to his dad. The hunter stood up, and walked toward the
puppy. Giyn tried to hide under a bush, but it was no use. The hunter picked him up, and carried him
away. Away from his mother, away from his father, away from a peaceful life forever.
He woke up in a cave. Or, it seemed like a cave. The walls were not made out of stone, but wood.
There was a small opening at the front. Giyn tentatively walked outside. It was a small field, with a
fence limiting where he could go. To his left was a bowl full of water, as well as a bowl filled to the
brim with some sort of brown rock. There were some type of symbols on each bowl, but he didn't know
what they meant. Giyn went back inside his new little house. The floor was mostly grass, but there was
some type of fluff on the end. It was comfy! He laid down. He decided that he had to get out somehow.
He had to find his mother. He had to go back. He didn't know where back was, but he knew that deep
down, this was never going to work out for him. Tentatively, he prodded out of his little cavern, then
out into the woods, where nowhere as safe for a little puppy.
Crack, crack, crack. The leaves on the ground made his light footsteps sound loud, and made it impossible to
sneak up on anyone. Desperate for food or water, he yelped. It was a small pathetic attempt, but he knew he
had to find someone who could care for him. Giyn ran forward, going deeper and deeper into the web of trees
he had caught himself in. He figured that his parents would be right in the middle waiting for him (puppy logic-
makes perfect sense). But as he went on, Giyn found that that wasn't the case, and that he was lost. He looked up.
The sun was no longer in the center of the sky, but closer to the west side. He could barely see it over
all the trees that masked the forest. One tree, he noticed, looked particularly odd. It was thick and tall, and
the roots of the tree formed a type of ladder to the top, where they had bunched up into a flat area covered by
leaves. It would have to do for the night, Giyn thought with determination. But his egerness to climb
it faded as the puppy discovered that it was harder then it looked. Giyn dug his tiny little nails into the bark.
He hoisted himself upward, but his efforts were in vain. He could no longer see the sun, but specks of light flittered
though the trees, giving him just enough light to see what he was doing. Giyn jumped up one final time, and caught a
branch. Biting it with all his strength, he pulled his fragile body up. He jumped again. That time, the root seemed closer.
Slowly but surely, Giyn was getting to the top. As he made his way up, the light started to fade more and more rapidly.
He jumped and climbed faster, hoping to get to the top before sunset. Finally, he made it up. He had laid down on
the ground and shut his eyes, tired from the long haul upwards. "What do we have here?" Growled a rough, angry voice.
He was not alone.

Likes-Candy-
Although he hasn't had a lot of opportunity to eat candy, he's
liked every little v=nit he can get! Of course, candy for a
dog is different then people candy or sweets. For example,
when he was captured, he quite enjoyed the dog treats!
-Friends-
Having been in almost complete solitude his entire life,
Giyn has grown to be a rather extroverted puppy. Often
he could "make friends" with anyone, including other animals.
His idea of friends is just someone to play with, but he loves
them none the less!
