Tumbleweed pokes his head through the bush. A huge, slimy, pink thing wraps around his musel and starts to pull him into the bush. He yelps in surprise and whines. It is not a whine of pain, but surprise and fear. He tries to run, but the thing is very strong. He attempts to bark but cannot open his mouth. He is pulled farther into the bush. Only his tail remains. What will you do?

I hurry forward, helping pull him back towards me while trying to loosen the pink thing around his muzzle. I also yell stop to the thing in a firm, but not mean, voice.

Your yelling only seems to agravate the creature further, but it is not strong enough to pull you and your wolf. When you work together, you manage to pull the thing out.

The wolf quickly releases Tumbleweed. It lowers into a hostile position, ready to fight or flee.

I tell Tumbleweed to stay back, raising my hands and stepping back to remain non-threatening. I say nothing, keeping my head down to let the other wolf take a look at the both of us. I make extra sure that Tumbleweed is staying calm, having him sit quietly and not go near the other wolf in the hopes that will prevent any further aggravation.
