Each position of artist indicates what they are allowed to do to the adopt. Not always is an advanced artist better then a Trainee or temporary artist. Each artist has there own quality and style, and really its the activity and effort put into the adopt that allows an artist certain positions.

Trainees are just newly recruited Artists, that are being monitored to make sure they're right for the job, and what position they should be put into. Rarely an older artist is put back as a trainee to see if they can be promoted, demoted, or behavior issues. This is a great way to see if the job is right for you. Not all perks are available to trainees as they aren't quite staff yet. Such as only getting one custom and not being able to apply to be a breeder or Custom maker. This usually only lasts a week before being promoted to regular artist, advanced artist, or Temporary artist.
Required to use the Judging cover and be monitored by the Staff member that hired them. (an advanced artist) 20 points per adopt made.

This is the only staff position that you can take that isn't a full position. You won't get as many perks, and all your adopts will be monitored by a Advanced artist. Temporary artists are allowed to make up to two adopts and two weeks before they are no longer an artist and they get a max of 40 Points for there Bank. (20 points each) there is no limit to how many times you can become a temporary artist as long as we're accepting them. Sometimes Temporary artists skip the trainee stage and become regular artists, but usually if we decide a temporary artist can be permanent they go through the same trainee stage as everyone else.
Required to use the judging cover, be monitored by the staff member that hired them (an advanced artist) 20 - 40 points per temporary session.

This is the most common position an artist gets. While Regular Artists CAN do line edits though should be very minor, they probably shouldn't to often though as line edits are an Advanced Artists job is. You color in Cats Help with artist based competitions, and get great perks. From Bonus points for being active, points for coloring adopts, and Free Customs. Regular artists can have up to 4 free customs, plus 2 if they apply as a breeder, and/or a custom artist for others.
4 (+2 if breeder/custom) Customs ; 30 points per Adopt made ; Must be active in community in some way (making 1 adopt a week should suffice.) ;; Obtains 1 Breeder Pass+, 4 Custom Pass's (as above), and 50 points at the start of position.

Line artists. They make fancy lines for both Customs and free adopts. While they don't always have to be apart of customs, there a high position in the artist realm. While no position is
Required to do things, I do ask these guys to help me out with stuff. Such as judging artist competitions, checking Trainee, and/or Temporary artists adopts, help with breeding/customs. Of coarse not all of those things are expected, the only thing I ask is that you make at least an adopt or two every so often. Be active and be apart of the community.
5 (+2 if Breeder/Custom) Customs ; 40 points per adopt made ; Must be active in community in some way (making adopts is just fine) ;; Obtains 2 Breeder Pass+, 4 Custom Pass's (as stated above), 1 Custom pass+ (as stated above), and 70 Points at start of position
