Dark with bright markings
Bright with dark markings
Pastel
Birds, fish, lizards, and amphibians (particularly tropical frogs)
And I like the sky based ideas Saphira mentioned.

Pretty much take inspration from the world around you where my suggestions, i find it helps me, if i cant think of a design i use an animal. Or maybe mix up some animals like a Germine shepard based one thats mixed with a chipmunk, or a tabby marked one with a leopard.
