@ Hime
Barn drama can be interesting, haha, but wow. I always feel bad for kind barn owners when boarders do something that doesn't make their lives easier. Poor L, hopefully the gelding is alright and his owner comes to help out a little.

Yay! Good to hear that Cleo is doing well. I'd say Queen of the Nile or something like that for a show name, but Kiss Me Cleopatra is nice too. c: Hope she's settling in well!

Good that your chute problem got all worked out so quickly! As far as tack boxes go, I carry multiple bags with me into the barn. I have a grooming tote and a tote bag. In my grooming tote I usually carry my lunch and water/tea, then when I get into the barn I take my lunch out and put what's been in my tote bag (crop, gloves, helmet, etc.) into my grooming bag. It's an okay system, though I've been considering investing in a small plastic tub to store all my stuff. Honestly, if you have as much/more stuff than I do, then I'd say get a tack box, because carrying stuff back and forth can get really annoying.
@ Personal update
I totally forgot what I wrote about last time, but it's been a little while, so here goes.
My lessons with my student have been going really well! We've moved on from getting our "posting rhythm" and we're focused on our hands and keeping them up as well as keeping our leg right where it is when we ask our pony to trot. I also briefly talked about the concept of diagonals, and also briefly talked about moving her up to K's lessons on Saturday with N's mother. She's doing so well, and I've found that I really enjoy teaching! I'm hoping I get to do more over the summer, because in my area I think the tendency is to start riding in the summer as part of the summer camp or just as a summer filler activity, then those who are serious continue into fall and sometimes winter.
I also rode Patrick and Gabby yesterday. Both of them bucked a little, but for different reasons. Gabby wanted to go more and I kept half-halting her, so she would buck, and Patrick hates going fast so when we went to quickly he would buck. I got some serious air time on Patrick though, but I stayed on, so that was alright.
I'm very excited for Sunday! Unfortunately though, I have to be at the barn at 9, which means I have to get up at 6:30-7 and get all my work done today because I'll be so busy/tired tomorrow and Sunday. I'll be helping tack/groom, get riders into the ring, probably help hand out ribbons, and maybe jump crew, depending on how much time it takes to care for Senator.
We also have sold many of the horses that have been for sale! Blue, this gorgeous dapple grey, was sold; Savannah, a great jumper horse, is on trial and will probably be sold; and one of the school horses has been on trial and his stall is now occupied by a new horse, so we're beginning to think that he was sold too.
It's almost the end of the park district class! This is week 5/6, I believe, so I only have to do a week or two more of eating a quick lunch and then tacking up a bunch of horses really quickly.
Anyways, I won't post an update until probably Monday or Wednesday, we'll see how the show goes.
There is no such thing as random, there is always a probability of something, no matter how small or unlikely, happening.
