Gravesnaps are an odd breed of canines around the size and physique of your average greyhound. They are technically not living, but act as though they are. Since they need few internal organs, the majority of their insides consist of a thick goop-like substance. It is unsure the reason why, but a portion of the canine's sides are completely transparent, leaving a window to see their ribs and often whatever they have swallowed. Gravesnaps have no intestines, but rather their goop eventually disintegrates everything that has entered the body. A Gravesnap's tail is only bones and floats in 9 segments from the end of the backbone. It is very rare for these bones to become separated or missing, but it is possible.

It's in their instinct to linger around cemeteries and check on graves to make sure they are not tampered with and keep them safe from fools who want to vandalize or sit on the gravestones. You will often find packs of Gravesnaps hanging around larger cemeteries, but most live alone or with a few select others. However, this does not mean that they can't live elsewhere. Those that live in colder climates generally have thicker fur.

Artist rules:
-Be at least semi active. At least a few designs a month, please.
-Tell me if you will be absent for an extended period of time.
-You will choose the type of contest for your own adopts. If it
is not fcfs or raffle, you will judge it.
-Absolutely no bias while judging competitions.
-Artists are allowed 1 free custom per month (equivalent edits
of a gold custom token). You can use this for yourself or make
it for a friend. This cannot be turned into a normal custom
token and saved. The design must be done by you.
-You cannot claim your monthly custom if you have not
made any designs that month.
-Images must be transparent and cropped closely to the boarders.
-PM me with the designs you want to put up for adoption. Do not
post them yourselves.
-Please take into consideration the rarity of each trait! Most
Gravesnaps should only have common traits.

Mod rules:
-Regardless of how people treat you on the thread, remain calm
and courteous.
-If anything serious happens on the thread, don't respond to it.
Instead, just report it and let the cs mods take care of it.
Replying to it will only make things worse.
-You are not permitted to give warnings or bans. I will do that.
-Help people when they need it, give reminders, and answer
questions when you can.
-Mods are allowed 1 custom per month (equivalent edits of a
silver custom token). You can make it yourself or ask an artist,
though they have the right to deny you.

Warnings and Bans
A user can get a warning for not following the rules, being rude, or general unfitting behavior.
There is no specific number of warnings that equates to a ban, but they are there to keep track of repeated offenders.
Bans are only for very serious cases. A user can receive a ban for stealing art, being very rude, or possibly other cases. Banned users cannot post on any of Gravesnap's threads, adopt any more Gravesnaps, or even own any Gravesnaps. All of their Gravesnaps will be taken away from them and put in the pound.

One of their favorites, by far, are tiny pebbles that they
can carry abound and collect. That is why our currency here
are pebbles! [] Most Gravesnaps have a special, hidden
location they keep their pebbles so that others do not steal
them. Gravesnaps even use pebbles in exchange for goods
or tasks from others of their kind, and even humans.

Customs
customs are currently open

To order a custom you must do two things. First, you must
have a custom token. Custom tokens can be bought in the
store or won in events. There are 3 types of tokens, all
which are described in the item index. Second, you must
fill out the form in this post. Often, the custom token items
will restock in the store around the same time that an
artist's slots open.

➳ The less descriptive you are with the design, the more freedom the artist has
➳ You may put "tbd" for name and gender, but please chose one afterwards

Breeding
breeding is currently closed
they will open when we reach 50 gravesnaps

Since Gravesnaps are actually not living, their breeding is rather...unconventional. There is no "mother" or "father," but simply parents. There can be up to four parents, which typically produce only one to three offspring. Although Gravesnaps do not usually have mates, those that breed typically have a strong bond to one another. When the parents are ready to have their offspring, they chose a suitable grave. They don't dig enough to uncover the body buried beneath, but only a few feet or so. The parents then each give up some of their internal goop, placing it at the bottom of the hole. The Gravesnaps replace the dirt atop the burial plot and simply wait. They often put special stones atop of the grave, but are careful to not block the exit path. This grave will be special to the offspring for the duration of their life. Many times, Gravesnaps will bury their goop in the same place they were created. A few weeks later, baby Gravesnaps must dig themselves out and find their parents. Of course, the adults usually stick by the grave, each taking turns watching near the expected release, but it is up to the babies to dig out themselves. It is unsure why, but if a Gravesnap parent chooses to help their baby, they usually don't make it. Neither do they make it if the burial site has been tampered with.

Keep these notes in mind:
➳ There can be up to 4 parents, a minimum of 2
➳ Genders do not matter when it comes to parents
➳ Obviously, all owners of the parents must agree to breed
➳ There is a breeding cool-down of 1 month for each Gravesnap
➳ The owners of the parents must all agree about what to do with the babies
